migraciones2Among the main challenges facing Europe and international cooperation in development is a reduction in the inequalities generated by two of the crises that continue to hit hard in the current climate: the financial crisis, and the migration or refugee crisis, a result of armed conflict and poverty.

This workshop will examine different focuses and strategies for integration to bring practical solutions, paying particular attention to the role of culture and education as effective tools to prevent a rise in racism, xenophobia, and social exclusion in the current context. It will also look specifically at proposals to facilitate ordered, safe, controlled, and responsible migration and movement of people, through strategies of integration.

This way the workshop aims to provide solutions to the main challenges obstructing the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 10: Reduce inequality between countries. Activity for the EUROPE FACING GLOBAL CHALLENGES FROM COOPERATION TO DEVELOPMENT project.
