An international congress on cultural routes and itineraries brings together a hundred participants from Europe and Latin America in Cáceres

The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation, the Organization of Ibero-American States for Education, Science, and Culture (OEI), the Ministry of Culture and Heritage of Ecuador, the Metropolitan Institute of Heritage of Quito, the Secretariat of Culture of Quito, the Autonomous University of Zacatecas in Mexico, and the European Institute of Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe (EICR), within the framework of the ADELANTE 2 Programme for Triangular Cooperation between the European Union, Latin America, and the Caribbean, have organised the “International Congress on Cultural Routes and Itineraries for the Development of Territories”, which will be held from May 28th to 30th at the San Francisco cultural complex in Cáceres and in the region of La Vera, located in northern Cáceres.

The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation organises the webinar “From Legend to Cult and from Cult to Myth: Two Virgins, Two Periods” on Thursday, 26 November, at 17:30 pm, in which the Professor of American History at the Complutense University of Madrid, Rosa Martínez de Codes; the Professor of Hispanic Studies at the University of Paris 8, Françoise Crémoux, and the guardian and custodian of the Royal Monastery of Santa María de Guadalupe, Fray Guillermo Cerrato Chamizo, will participate.

Yesterday, the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation organised the webinar “Governing Uncertainty” in collaboration with the City Council of Guadalupe. It counted with the participation of the former President of the Spanish Government and recipient of the Carlos V European Award, Felipe González, and with the former President of the Regional Government of Extremadura and member of the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste, Juan Carlos Rodríguez Ibarra.

The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation has organised four free online courses within its training programme Campus Yuste, the Foundation’s programme which develops specialised courses and meetings on the process of European construction and integration, as well as current European issues and other subjects related to the history and memory of Europe and Ibero-America, the historical stage of Charles V, the 2030 Agenda, the Sustainable Development Goals, and the founding objectives of the institution, from a multidisciplinary point of view.

The General Director of External Action of the Regional Government of Extremadura, Rosa Balas, opened the course “Iberian and Transatlantic Cultural Dialogues. Identities in Contact” this Tuesday by videoconference. The course has been organised by the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation along with the Directorate General for External Action of the Regional Government of Extremadura.
