The Academy<\/h2>\n

The European Academy of Yuste is made up of renowned European figures who have excelled in their creative or research work, thereby promoting the construction of the European cultural heritage and the progress and development of the sciences.<\/p>\n

The meetings of the Academy have addressed the main challenges of the process of European integration.<\/p>\n

OBJETIVOS DE LA ACADEMIA<\/h1>

La Academia<\/h2>

La Academia Europea de Yuste se cre\u00f3 como \u00f3rgano asesor de la Fundaci\u00f3n. La Academia se compone de sillones simb\u00f3licos, cada uno de los cuales lleva el nombre de un personaje europeo de relevancia hist\u00f3rica o art\u00edstica, y que son ocupados por personalidades europeas de reconocido prestigio intelectual o cultural, quienes ostentan la distinci\u00f3n de Acad\u00e9mico de la Academia Europea de Yuste.<\/p>

Con el nombramiento de Acad\u00e9micos, la Fundaci\u00f3n Academia Europea de Yuste desea ir distinguiendo expresamente, en orden a sus m\u00e9ritos y circunstancias personales, a aquellas personas que hayan destacado por su labor creadora o de investigaci\u00f3n, impulsando con su trabajo la construcci\u00f3n del patrimonio com\u00fan cultural y el progreso y desarrollo de las ciencias en general. Los acad\u00e9micos representan a los diferentes pa\u00edses, ramas y manifestaciones de la cultura (Letras, Artes, Ciencias Sociales y Filos\u00f3ficas, Investigaci\u00f3n Cient\u00edfica,\u2026). Desde su creaci\u00f3n en 1992, uno de los objetivos principales de la Fundaci\u00f3n Academia\u00a0 Europea de Yuste ha sido el de convertir la Academia Europea de Yuste en la caja de resonancia de todas las inquietudes europeas, pues no en vano en ella se re\u00fanen Acad\u00e9micos a los que \u201cnada humano les es ajeno\u201d, seg\u00fan el aforismo cl\u00e1sico que sustancia buena parte de las aspiraciones humanistas que desea transmitir la Academia.<\/p>

La Academia se re\u00fane peri\u00f3dicamente para producir declaraciones sobre temas de actualidad que afectan a la problem\u00e1tica europea.<\/p>
