The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation has published the book Historia, memoria e integraci\u00f3n Europea desde el punto de vista de las relacionestransatl\u00e1nticas de la UE (European History, Memory and Integration from the Point of View of the European Union\u2019s Transatlantic Relations), which analyses the historical and political relations between Europe and America as well as the European integration process from the point of view of the European Union\u2019s transatlantic relations by means of a multidisciplinary approach.<\/p>\n

The chapters of this book shed light on the interactions between the EU and its American allies; these are subjects which from the perspective of the central and northern areas of the UE are often overshadowed by Europe\u2019s relations with the United States. The coordinators of the book are Jes\u00fasBaigorri, from the University of Salamanca; J\u00fcrgen Elvert, from the University of Cologne and Enrique Moradiellos, form the University of Extremadura.<\/p>\n

This publication, which belongs to the Cuadernos de Yuste Collection, is the result of the research work carried out by ten researchers selected by the Jose Manuel Dur\u00e3oBarroso Research and Mobility Grants for European Studies, who were presented and debated at the doctoral seminar organised by the Foundation at the Royal Monastery of Yuste.<\/p>\n
