The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation participates in the 7th Strategic Triangle: Latin-America-Europe-Africa, organised by the Institute for the Promotion of Latin America and the Caribbean (IPDAL), in Lisbon.<\/p>\n

During the 14th and 15th of May renowned personalities and experts on transatlantic relations, politicians, managers of research centres, universities, great businesses and members of governments at each side of the Atlantic, have gathered in order to identify and analyse the improvement of the Atlantic\u2019s triangulation processes.<\/p>\n

In this framework, the Director of the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation, Juan Carlos Moreno Pi\u00f1ero, has presented the aims and objectives of the institution he represents to those present; an entity that conjugates Extremadura\u2019s Europeanist and Ibero-American vocation, that acts as a transfer vehicle and gear between Europe, Extremadura and Ibero-America with its activities, creating bridges among its territories, spaces, cultures, with the intention of turning to Africa in the future.<\/p>\n

In this 7th edition, reflection has been undertaken on the role of youth and digitalisation as development factors of the strategic associations among the different public and private actors of the three regions that may modernise cities, infrastructures, regional dynamics, as well as science and education models.<\/p>\n

Attempts have been made to strengthen the understanding on how the technological transformation may accelerate and contribute to the development of relations between the vertexes of the triangle at regional integration, entrepreneurial spirit, transatlantic commerce, knowledge transfer and new paradigms of urban modernisation level.<\/p>\n

Among others, the former Prime Minister of Romania, Pete Roman; the former Head of State of San Marino, Vanessa D\u2019Ambrosio, the Ibero-American Under-Secretary General, Mariangela Rebu\u00e1; the former Ibero-American Secretary General, Enrique V. Iglesias; the Ambassador of Argentina in Spain and former Interim President of Argentina, Federico Ram\u00f3n Puerta, as well as former ministers of countries such as Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Spain, Morocco, Uruguay and Portugal have attended the event.<\/p>\n

In this initiative, co-organised with the Ibero-American General Secretariat (SEGIB) and Caixa Geral de Dep\u00f3sitos, multinational institutions, such as the European Investment Bank, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, TAP, CESO, the Inter-American Development Bank, Grupo Sousa, the Development Society of Madeira, OCDE, the Real Instituto Elcano, CPLP, Amadeus, Ur\u00eda Men\u00e9ndez-Proen\u00e7a de Carvalho, the European University of Madrid, Indra, the Organization of Ibero-American States, Fundaci\u00f3n Carolina, the Port of Sines, and the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, have participated.<\/p>\n
