\"\"The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation will open the Emperor concerts\u2019 cycle with the masculine vocal quintet \u201cEnsemble Nobiles\u201d, from Leipzig, next Saturday 26th of May at 13:00 pm, at the Royal Monastery of Yuste\u2019s Church.<\/p>\n

The programme includes parts of the Messe de Nostre Dame, by Guillaume de Machaut, the most ancient mass resulting from the pen of a single composer. The songs: Kyre, Sanctus, Agnus Dei e Ite missa est of this work -composed in 1360- characterise themselves by an isorhythmic motet with a Gregorian melody as cantus firmus in the wording. The programme closes with simplicity with Bleib bei mir, Herr.<\/p>\n

The vocal quintet \u201cEnsemble Nobiles\u201d has a career of artistic creation of over ten years. Their repertoire covers a spectrum ranging from the mass dating from the late Middle Ages to modern times and they collaborate with contemporary composers, such as Manfred Schlenker, Volker Br\u00e4utigam, Fredo Jung and Jeremy Rawson. The quintet has published several albums and performed in numerous concerts throughout Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Singapore. They have won national and international awards, winning the First Prize at the 9th German National Choir Competition in 2014 and the Best Vocal Ensemble at the 13th International Choral Competition Gallus Maribor in 2015. In 2016 they received the Gold Diploma and Ward-Swingle Award of Graz (Austria). The young singers received a grant from the German Music Council, the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben and the Marie-Luise Imbusch Stiftung.<\/p>\n

The concert counts with the support of National Heritage and is sponsored by Fundaci\u00f3n Goethe.<\/p>\n

The Emperor\u2019s Concerts<\/strong><\/p>\n

In 1997 the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation initiated a series of concerts with the aim of \u201cestablishing a musical cycle related to the period of Charles V in Extremadura\u201d, thereby proclaiming the European cultural heritage and its history as the main driving force of the process of European culture and integration.
\nThe next event will be on Saturday, 16th of June, with the group \u201cCollegium Musicum Madrid\u201d and \u201cM\u00fasica Ficta\u201d will close the cycle this year on the 22nd of September.<\/p>\n
