If we wish to have a better understanding of the present we live in and the near future, it is convenient to reminisce so that we cannot claim ignorance or indifference when facing phenomena that we better not forget. The commemoration in 2015 of the 70th<\/sup>\u00a0anniversary since the end of World War II and the beginning of the Nuremberg Proceedings, where the allied powers (United States, the Soviet Union, Great Britain and France) submitted those most responsible for the Nazi crimes to trial, is a symbolic moment that lead to diverse reflections.<\/p>\n

History shows that the consequences of those events and of others that occurred over the past seventy years still concern us. The Nuremberg proceedings confirm that history is, overall, written by the winners but also that the condemnatory sentences have not been able to avoid new episodes of similar irrationality that -to different extents and in numerous moments and places- have continued to occur throughout the world.<\/p>\n

Si queremos entender mejor el presente en el que vivimos y el futuro que se nos avecina, conviene rememorar el pasado, para no poder alegar desconocimiento ni indiferencia ante fen\u00f3menos que es mejor no olvidar. La conmemoraci\u00f3n en 2015 del 70\u00ba aniversario del final de la Segunda Guerra Mundial y del inicio de los procesos de N\u00faremberg, donde las potencias aliadas (Estados Unidos, Uni\u00f3n Sovi\u00e9tica, Gran Breta\u00f1a y Francia) sometieron a juicio a los principales responsables de los cr\u00edmenes nazis, es un momento simb\u00f3lico que suscita reflexiones muy diversas.<\/p>

La historia nos ense\u00f1a que las consecuencias de aquellos acontecimientos y de otros acaecidos en los \u00faltimos setenta a\u00f1os a\u00fan nos ata\u00f1en. Los procesos de N\u00faremberg nos confirman que la historia la escriben (ante todo) los vencedores, pero tambi\u00e9n que las sentencias condenatorias no han logrado impedir nuevos episodios de irracionalidad semejantes que, a escalas distintas y en numerosos momentos y lugares, se han seguido cometiendo en el mundo.<\/p>
