Through archive research and interviewing curators, artists and cultural managers, the book makes a criticism of Eurocentric thinking, analysing the different readings concerning Latin American art through exhibitions carried out in the Spanish State during the last decades. From an anticolonial perspective, the book carries out a geopolitical study of the relations that the Spanish art system establishes with its former colonies and it deals with the symbolic, political and economic connotations within the curatorial projects analysed. Chilean curator, teacher and poet residing in Madrid. He has worked as a professor in the Department of History and Theory of Art of the UAM (2015-2017) and has been a researcher at the Reina Sof\u00eda Museum (2009-2011, 2014-2016). He has published poetry books: <em>La revoluci\u00f3n de las ratas<\/em> (Madrid, Esto no es Berl\u00edn, 2013) and <em>La enfermedad del sudaca<\/em> (Valencia, FEA, 2018) as well as articles in books, such as <em>Pensar los estudios culturales desde Espa\u00f1a<\/em> (Madrid, Verbum, 2012), <em>Par\u00eds\/M\u00e9xico, capitales del exilio<\/em> (M\u00e9xico, Fondo de Cultura Econ\u00f3mica, 2014) and <em>Decolonising Museums<\/em> (Brussels, L\u2019Internationale Online, 2015). He has co-edited the book <em>No existe sexo sin racializaci\u00f3n<\/em> (Ayllu, Madrid, 2017, with Leticia Rojas). He has also been the curator of samples such as <em>Chile Vive. <\/em><em>Memoria activada<\/em> (CCE, Santiago, 2013), <em>Cr\u00edtica de la raz\u00f3n migrante<\/em> (La Casa Encendida, Madrid-CCE, Asunci\u00f3n, Tegucigalpa and Mexico DF, 2014-2016, with Carolina Bustamante), <em>Colectivo Acciones de Arte <\/em>(CADA), 1979-1985 (MNCARS, Madrid, 2016) and <em>Multitud Marica<\/em>. <em>Activaciones de archivos sexo-disidentes en Am\u00e9rica Latina <\/em>(MSSA, Santiago, 2017, with Felipe Rivas). Ha sido profesor del Departamento de Historia y Teor\u00eda del Arte de la UAM\u00a0\u00a0(2015-2017)\u00a0e investigador del Museo Reina Sof\u00eda\u00a0(2009-2011, 2014-2016).\u00a0Ha publicado los libros de poes\u00eda\u00a0<em>La revoluci\u00f3n de las ratas\u00a0<\/em>(Madrid, Esto no es Berl\u00edn, 2013) y\u00a0<em>La enfermedad del sudaca\u00a0<\/em>(Valencia, FEA, 2018), adem\u00e1s de art\u00edculos en libros como<em>\u00a0Pensar los estudios culturales desde Espa\u00f1a<\/em>\u00a0(Madrid, Verbum, 2012),\u00a0<em>Par\u00eds\/M\u00e9xico, capitales del exilio<\/em>\u00a0(M\u00e9xico, Fondo de Cultura Econ\u00f3mica, 2014) y\u00a0<em>Decolonising Museums\u00a0<\/em>(Bruselas, L\u2019Internationale Online, 2015).\u00a0Ha co-editado el libro\u00a0<em>No existe sexo sin racializaci\u00f3n\u00a0<\/em>(Ayllu, Madrid, 2017, con Leticia Rojas).\u00a0\u00a0Tambi\u00e9n ha sido curador de muestras como\u00a0<em>Chile Vive.
