This book analyses the historical and political relations between Europe and America and the process of European integration from the point of view of the EU\u2019s transatlantic relations and with a multidisciplinary approach. It is the result of a Doctoral Seminar on that subject which was organised by the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation from the 26th<\/sup> to the 28th<\/sup> of January in 2015. The chapters of this book shed light on subjects that, from the predominant perspective of the EU\u2019s central and northern areas, often become eclipsed by the relations between Europe and the United States. It is thus designed to contribute to offer a renewed aspect and better understand the transatlantic interactions between the UE and its Latin American partners.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
