Youths from different Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, French, American and Dutch universities have participated in the call for grants offered in order to attend the six summer courses organised by the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation within its training programme Yuste Campus. These courses are included within the framework of the 19th<\/sup> International Summer Courses organised by the University of Extremadura.<\/p>\nThe best academic records may enjoy one of the 230 grants offered by the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation, which cover the tuition fee, and accommodation and subsistence costs. The deadline for submission of applications to attend the courses held during June and July ended on 18 June but the deadline to attend the course \u201cEuropean Culture, Heritage and Citizenship: Strengthening European Identity through Education and Culture, and How to Manage It\u201d, held from the 24th to the 28th of September, is open till 23 July. Those interested in attending the course as audit may, furthermore, register until seating capacity is reached.<\/p>\n
The courses offered will be held at the Royal Monastery of Yuste, which is the Foundation\u2019s headquarters. These are the following: \u2018Las relaciones Am\u00e9rica Latina y la Uni\u00f3n Europa: \u00bfuna alianza pol\u00edtica renovada?\u2019 (\u201cLatin American and the European Union Relations: a Renewed Political Alliance?\u201d), from the 25th to the 26th of June; \u2018Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible: Avances y retos en la Agenda 2030\u2019 (\u201cSustainable Development Goals: Progress and Challenges of the 2030 Agenda\u201d), from the 27th to the 29th of June; \u2018Carlos V: guerra y paz a ambos lados del Atl\u00e1ntico\u2019 (\u201cCharles V: War and Peace on Both Sides of the Atlantic\u201d), from the 4th to the 6th of July; \u2018Resoluci\u00f3n de conflictos, paz, g\u00e9nero y desarrollo\u2019 (\u201cConflict Resolution, Peace, Gender and Development\u201d), from the 11th to the 13th of July and \u2018Logros y l\u00edmites de 60 a\u00f1os de integraci\u00f3n europea\u2019 (\u201cAchievements and Limitations of 60 Years of European Integration\u201d), from the 18th to the 20th of July.<\/p>\n
There will be approximately 90 speakers from European and American universities, international organisations, such as the European Parliament or United Nations and from the business world and institutions in the training programmes.<\/p>\n
YUSTE CAMPUS <\/strong><\/p>\n The objective of this training programme is to carry out specialised courses and encounters aimed at encouraging the debate and reflection of university students, researchers and professionals on the process of European construction and integration, as well as on European current affairs and other subjects regarding European and Ibero-American history and remembrance, or the foundation\u2019s foundational objectives. El plazo de presentaci\u00f3n de solicitudes para los cursos que se impartir\u00e1n durante los meses de junio y julio finaliz\u00f3 el pasado 18 de junio, pero para el curso \u2018Cultura, patrimonio y ciudadan\u00eda europea: reforzar la identidad europea a trav\u00e9s de la educaci\u00f3n y la cultura, y como gestionarlo\u2019 que se celebrar\u00e1 del 24 al 28 de septiembre, la convocatoria de becas continuar\u00e1 abierta hasta el 23 de julio. Adem\u00e1s, las personas interesadas en asistir como oyente a estos cursos, podr\u00e1n inscribirse hasta hasta completar aforo.<\/p> Los cursos ofertados se impartir\u00e1n en el Real Monasterio de Yuste, sede de la Fundaci\u00f3n. Estos son: \u2018Las relaciones Am\u00e9rica Latina-Uni\u00f3n Europea en un mundo incierto, \u00bfuna alianza pol\u00edtica renovada?\u2019, que se impartir\u00e1 los d\u00edas 25 y 26 de junio; \u2018Los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible: Avances y retos en la Agenda 2030\u2019, del 27 al 29 de junio; \u2018El mundo de Carlos V: Guerra y paz a ambos lados del Atl\u00e1ntico\u2019, del 4 al 6 de julio; \u2018Resoluci\u00f3n de conflictos, paz, g\u00e9nero y desarrollo\u2019, del 11 al 13 de julio, y por \u00faltimo, \u2018Logros y l\u00edmites de 60 a\u00f1os de integraci\u00f3n europea\u2019, del 18 al 20 de julio.<\/p> Los programas formativos ser\u00e1n impartidos por aproximadamente 90 ponentes de universidades europeas y americanas, de organismos internacionales como el Parlamento Europeo o Naciones Unidas, y del mundo de la empresa e instituciones.<\/p> CAMPUS YUSTE<\/p> Este programa formativo tiene como objetivo desarrollar cursos y encuentros especializados dirigidos a fomentar el debate y la reflexi\u00f3n de los universitarios, investigadores y profesionales sobre el proceso de construcci\u00f3n e integraci\u00f3n europea, as\u00ed como asuntos de actualidad europea e iberoamericana, y otros temas relacionados con la historia y la memoria de Europa e Iberoam\u00e9rica, o los objetivos fundacionales de la fundaci\u00f3n.
