The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation collaborates in the Ibero-American symposium \u201cVoices and Insights: More than 90 Years Doing Radio at the University\u201d, which took place at the Faculty of Documentation and Communication Sciences of the University of Extremadura (UEx).<\/strong><\/p>\n

The event opened this morning and involved the participation of the Director of the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation, Juan Carlos Moreno; the Vice Rector of Institutional and International Relations, Mar Guerrero Manzano, and the Director of the University of Extremadura\u2019s Information and Communication Cabinet, who is also senior researcher of ARDOPA\u2019s Research, Documentation, Communication and Scientific Dissemination Group, Agust\u00edn Vivas.<\/p>\n

Juan Carlos Moreno highlighted that the university radio fulfils \u201ca social function: disseminating knowledge, which forms a solid alliance along with the university in the struggle for an efficient and adequate training and for free, plural and critical communication\u201d.<\/p>\n

Moreno claimed that this objective ties up with one of Yuste Foundation\u2019s purposes: \u201cthe dissemination of knowledge\u201d.<\/p>\n

In the same vein, Agust\u00edn Vivas pointed out that this radio is \u201ca university instrument -in the full sense of the word- to shape critical citizens\u201d. He, furthermore, added that it serves to \u201cdisseminate what the university does and picks up, in turn, what society wants to say\u201d.<\/p>\n

Vivas delved into the value of the university radio as a \u201csocial tool in order to create equal opportunities and as an instrument of liberty\u201d.<\/p>\n

The Vice Rector of Institutional and International Relations, pointed out that these international sessions are a sharing point of Ibero-American university radios to expose the different ways to do radio from universities in an enriching manner.<\/p>\n

M\u00aa del Mar Guerrero underlined that \u201cas university professionals our duty does not end in the classroom and being able to count on these radios enables us to offer students a practical part and of scientific dissemination\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cVoices and Insights: More than 90 Years Doing Radio at the University\u201d is an Ibero-American symposium that aims to give value to Ibero-American university radio stations. These radio stations originate more than 90 years ago at the National University of La Plata (Argentina) as a direct consequence of C\u00f3rdoba\u2019s University Reform, which celebrated its centenary this year.<\/p>\n

The intention is to present different ways of doing radio at universities and apply, in practical a manner, a format that is very present again on the radio media: fiction.<\/p>\n

La Fundaci\u00f3n Academia Europea e Iberoamericana de Yuste colabora en el simposio iberoamericano \u2018Voces y miradas: m\u00e1s de 90 a\u00f1os haciendo radio desde la universidad\u2019, que se celebra en la Facultad de Ciencias de la Documentaci\u00f3n y la Comunicaci\u00f3n de la Universidad de Extremadura (UEx).<\/strong><\/p>

El encuentro se ha inaugurado esta ma\u00f1ana y ha contado con la participaci\u00f3n del director de la Fundaci\u00f3n Academia Europea e Iberoamericana de Yuste, Juan Carlos Moreno; la vicerrectora de Relaciones Institucionales e Internacionalizaci\u00f3n, M\u00aa del Mar Guerrero Manzano; y el director del Gabinete de Informaci\u00f3n y Comunicaci\u00f3n de la UEx e investigador principal del Grupo de Investigaci\u00f3n Documentaci\u00f3n, Comunicaci\u00f3n y Divulgaci\u00f3n Cient\u00edfica, ARDOPA, Agust\u00edn Vivas.<\/p>

Juan Carlos Moreno ha destacado que la radio universitaria cumple \u201cuna funci\u00f3n social, la de divulgar el saber, que unida a la Universidad forma una s\u00f3lida alianza en la lucha por la formaci\u00f3n eficaz y adecuada y por la comunicaci\u00f3n libre, plural y cr\u00edtica\u201d.<\/p>

Moreno ha dicho que este objetivo entronca con uno de los cometidos de la Fundaci\u00f3n Yuste, el de la \u201cdifusi\u00f3n del conocimiento\u201d.<\/p>

En esa misma l\u00ednea, Agust\u00edn Vivas ha se\u00f1alado que esta radio es \u201cun instrumento universitario en su pleno sentido para construir ciudadanos cr\u00edticos\u201d. Adem\u00e1s, ha a\u00f1adido, sirve para \u201cdifundir lo que hace la universidad y recoger, a su vez, lo que la sociedad nos quiere decir\u201d.<\/p>

Vivas ha querido profundizar en el valor de la radio universitaria como \u201cherramienta de car\u00e1cter social para crear igualdad de oportunidades e instrumento de libertad\u201d.<\/p>

Por su parte, la vicerrectora de Relaciones Institucionales e Internacionalizaci\u00f3n ha apuntado que estas jornadas internacionales suponen una puesta en com\u00fan de las radios universitarias iberoamericanas para poner de manifiesto las distintas formas de hacer radio desde las universidades de una manera enriquecedora.<\/p>

M\u00aa del Mar Guerrero ha subrayado que como \u201cprofesionales universitarios nuestra tarea no finaliza en el aula y contar con radios en estas universidades nos permite dar a los estudiantes una parte pr\u00e1ctica y de divulgaci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica\u201d.<\/p>

\u2018Voces y miradas: m\u00e1s de 90 a\u00f1os haciendo radio desde la universidad\u2019 es un simposio de car\u00e1cter iberoamericano cuyo objetivo es poner en valor las emisoras universitarias iberoamericanas. Estas estaciones radiof\u00f3nicas tienen su origen hace m\u00e1s de 90 a\u00f1os en la Universidad Nacional de La Plata (Argentina) como consecuencia directa de la Reforma Universitaria de C\u00f3rdoba, que este a\u00f1o ha celebrado su centenario.<\/p>

Con este simposio se quiere poner de manifiesto distintas formas de hacer radio en las universidades y aplicar de manera pr\u00e1ctica un formato que vuelve a estar muy presente en el medio radiof\u00f3nico, la ficci\u00f3n.<\/p>
