For some time now, globalisation and migratory processes have been modifying social structures at world, European and Spanish level. Thousands of people cross borders every year looking for a better future, a new life or fleeing from precariousness or poverty. But being an intercultural society is not easy. Racism, racial discrimination and xenophobia are not a new phenomenon and have always been present in our society in different forms. Some of them are not evident, and all of them are fed by stereotypes, inertias and erroneous perceptions that are difficult to change.<\/p>\n

Moreover, in recent times, the Internet and social networks have developed as privileged spaces to spread hatred and intolerance without it being possible to adequately fight against this phenomenon, for the sake of defending the fundamental right to freedom of expression. Hate is an expression of intolerance that directly impinges on human dignity. The cause of this attack is none other than the victim’s belonging to a group that can be identified based on ethnicity, nationality, language, religion, age, disability or sexual orientation or identity.<\/p>\n
