The Royal Monastery of Yuste\u2019s Church hosts a performance carried out by the music group Camara Antiqva, directed by Manuel Guisado, on Saturday, at 13:00 pm. The concert is organised by the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation and National Heritage along with the European Routes of Emperor Charles V in order to commemorate the death of Charles V in Yuste. The entrance is free of charge and open to all public until seating capacity is reached.<\/p>\n

The programme includes a selection of songs from the 15th<\/sup> until the 18th<\/sup> century, grouped into themes, such as love, religion, celebration and war feats by authors, such as Juan del Enzina, Mateo Flecha, Juan V\u00e1squez, and Tom\u00e1s Luis de Victoria, among others.<\/p>\n

Camara Antiqva is a music group from C\u00e1ceres that was founded in 2015 and includes performers who have wide musical experience. Its repertoire focuses on one of the most important musical periods, to vocal music, of all times: the Renaissance. In many of its musical projects, Camara Antiqva includes musical instruments from the period, which are played by musicians and teachers from the Official Music Conservatory \u201cHermanos Berzosa\u201d in C\u00e1ceres. Their participation in events, such as the Iberian Music Festival, in Badajoz; the Classical Theatre Festival, in C\u00e1ceres; the Miranda do Corvo Festival (Portugal) or their performance at the 12th<\/sup> Carlos V European Award ceremony at the Royal Monastery of Yuste, is worthy of mention.<\/p>\n

Their Director, Manuel Guisado Rodrigo, is also a music teacher who has extensive training and experience in the field of polyphony. He founded the polyphonic group Discantus in 1986; a group that interprets Renaissance music, and directed it until 1996. He currently directs the Choir Arte Vocal, which has enabled him to win important national awards, such as the Gran Premio Nacional de Canto Coral (Choral Singing Grand National Prize) in 2009, which is the highest award a choir can be eligible for in Spain. At present he is the artistic director of the Choral Music National Contest in Villanueva de la Serena.<\/p>\n

The concert is sponsored by the Regional Government of Extremadura, the Provincial Council of C\u00e1ceres and the Provincial Council of Badajoz.<\/p>\n

La iglesia del Real Monasterio de Yuste acoger\u00e1 el pr\u00f3ximo s\u00e1bado, a las 13 horas, la actuaci\u00f3n de la agrupaci\u00f3n musical Camara Antiqva dirigida por Manuel Guisado. Se trata de un concierto organizado por la Fundaci\u00f3n Academia Europea e Iberoamericana de Yuste y Patrimonio Nacional en colaboraci\u00f3n con las Rutas Europeas del Emperador Carlos V para conmemorar el fallecimiento del emperador Carlos V en Yuste. La entrada es libre y gratuita hasta completar aforo.<\/p>

El programa incluye una selecci\u00f3n de canciones partiendo del siglo XV hasta el siglo XVIII, agrupadas en tem\u00e1ticas como el amor, la religi\u00f3n y las haza\u00f1as b\u00e9licas, de autores como Juan del Enzina, Mateo Flecha, Juan V\u00e1squez, Tom\u00e1s Luis de Victoria, entre otros.<\/p>

Camara Antiqva es una agrupaci\u00f3n musical cacere\u00f1a fundada en 2015, formada por int\u00e9rpretes de dilatada experiencia musical. Su repertorio se centra en uno de los periodos musicales m\u00e1s importantes para la m\u00fasica vocal de todos los tiempos: el Renacimiento. En muchos de sus proyectos musicales, Camara Antiqva incorpora la participaci\u00f3n de instrumentos musicales de la \u00e9poca, a cargo de m\u00fasicos y profesores del Conservatorio Oficial de M\u00fasica Hermanos Berzosa de C\u00e1ceres. Hay que destacar su participaci\u00f3n en el Festival Ib\u00e9rico de M\u00fasica de Badajoz, Festival de Teatro Cl\u00e1sico de C\u00e1ceres, Festival Miranda do Corvo (Portugal), o su actuaci\u00f3n en la XII entrega del Premio Europeo Carlos V en el Real Monasterio de Yuste.<\/p>

Su director, Manuel Guisado Rodrigo, es profesor de Educaci\u00f3n Musical con una amplia formaci\u00f3n y experiencia en el \u00e1mbito de la polifon\u00eda. En 1986 fund\u00f3 el grupo polif\u00f3nico Discantus, agrupaci\u00f3n dedicada a la interpretaci\u00f3n de la m\u00fasica del Renacimiento siendo director hasta 1996. En la actualidad, dirige el Coro Arte Vocal, con el que tiene en su haber importantes premios a nivel nacional, entre los que cabr\u00eda destacar el Gran Premio Nacional de Canto Coral de 2009, m\u00e1ximo galard\u00f3n al que un coro puede optar en la geograf\u00eda espa\u00f1ola. Actualmente es director art\u00edstico del Certamen Nacional de M\u00fasica Coral de Villanueva de la Serena.<\/p>

El concierto cuenta con el patrocinio de la Junta de Extremadura, la Diputaci\u00f3n de C\u00e1ceres y de la Diputaci\u00f3n de Badajoz.<\/p>
