Yuste\u2019s academician and President of the Portuguese History Academy, Manuela Mendo\u00e7a, will give the keynote speech<\/strong><\/p>\n

The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation and the University of Extremadura organise the Hispanic-Portuguese Seminar \u201cIntroduction to Portuguese History and Public Law\u201d, which will take place during the 3rd<\/sup> and 4th<\/sup> of October at the Faculty of Philosophy and Literature, in C\u00e1ceres. The Seminar attempts to foster mobility or university community exchange through the attainment of better knowledge concerning cross border problems and to enhance greater cultural awareness concerning the neighbouring country\u2019s legal and historical (ius historical) reality and knowledge concerning its current constitutionality and legal-institutional culture as well as its historical foundations.<\/p>\n

Extremadura\u2019s development has permanently been influenced by the evolution of its cross border relations with Portugal and by the level of knowledge and understanding between these two peoples. This is why a Hispanic-Portuguese Seminar on History and Law, in order to establish the analysis, debate, and the presentation of the current Portuguese political structure, its historical roots and evolution as study topics, is organised.<\/p>\n

Yuste\u2019s academician and President of the Portuguese History Academy, Manuela Mendo\u00e7a, will give the keynote speech entitled \u201cAn Approach to Portuguese History until 1910\u201d.<\/p>\n

Issues, such as the \u201cPortuguese historical reorientation from 1910\u201d will subsequently be tackled by the Contemporary History Professor at the University of \u00c9vora, Fernando Martins or \u201cAn Introduction to the Portuguese Constitutional Law\u201d will be dealt with by Public Law Professor at Lisbon\u2019s Lus\u00edada University and at the Polytechnic Institute of Lisbon, Jos\u00e9 Lucas Cardoso.<\/p>\n

In addition, History and Law doctoral students participating in the event will actively contribute in the morning and afternoon sessions.<\/p>\n

The Hispanic-Portuguese Seminar on History and Law is constituted by the University of Extremadura\u2019s History of Law and Administrative Law Areas and the History Department.<\/p>\n

La acad\u00e9mica de Yuste y presidenta de la Academia Portuguesa de la Historia, Manuela Mendon\u00e7a, impartir\u00e1 la conferencia inaugural.<\/strong><\/p>

La Fundaci\u00f3n Academia Europea e Iberoamericana de Yuste y la Universidad de Extremadura organizan, el 3 y 4 de octubre en la Facultad de Filosof\u00eda y Letras de C\u00e1ceres, el seminario hispano-luso \u2018Introducci\u00f3n a la Historia y al Derecho P\u00fablico de Portugal\u2019, con el objetivo de fomentar la movilidad o intercambio de universitarios a partir del mejor conocimiento de la problem\u00e1tica transfronteriza, potenciar una mayor sensibilizaci\u00f3n cultural ante la realidad jur\u00eddica e hist\u00f3rica (iushist\u00f3rica) del pa\u00eds vecino y el conocimiento de su constitucionalidad actual, as\u00ed como la cultura jur\u00eddico-institucional y sus fundamentos hist\u00f3ricos.<\/p>

Extremadura ha estado permanentemente influida en su desarrollo por el devenir de las relaciones transfronterizas con Portugal y por el nivel de conocimiento y entendimiento entre estos dos pueblos. De esta premisa surge la creaci\u00f3n y puesta en marcha de este seminario hispano-luso de Historia y Derecho, con el prop\u00f3sito de fijar como temas de estudios el an\u00e1lisis, el debate y la presentaci\u00f3n de la estructura pol\u00edtica portuguesa actual y sus ra\u00edces y evoluci\u00f3n hist\u00f3ricas.<\/p>

La acad\u00e9mica de Yuste y presidenta de la Academia Portuguesa de la Historia, Manuela Mendon\u00e7a, ser\u00e1 la encargada de impartir la conferencia inaugural que lleva por t\u00edtulo \u2018Acercamiento a la Historia de Portugal hasta 1910\u2019.<\/p>

Posteriormente, se abordar\u00e1n cuestiones como la \u2018Reorientaci\u00f3n hist\u00f3rica portuguesa a partir de 1910\u2019, a cargo del profesor de Historia Contempor\u00e1nea de la Universidad de \u00c9vora, Fernando Martins; o la \u2018Introducci\u00f3n al derecho constitucional portugu\u00e9s\u2019, que abordar\u00e1 el profesor de Derecho P\u00fablico de la Universidad Lus\u00edada de Lisboa y del Instituto Polit\u00e9cnico de Lisboa, Jos\u00e9 Lucas Cardoso.<\/p>

Asimismo, tanto en las sesiones de ma\u00f1ana y tarde, intervendr\u00e1n activamente los doctorandos de Historia y Derecho que participan en este encuentro.<\/p>

El seminario Hispano-Luso de Historia y Derecho est\u00e1 constituido por las \u00c1reas de Historia del Derecho y de Derecho Administrativo y por el Departamento de Historia de la Universidad de Extremadura.<\/p>
