The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation collaborated in the organisation of the Symposium \u201cLa primera vuelta al mundo. Carlos V y Juan Sebasti\u00e1n Elcano\u201d (\u201cThe First Round the World Trip. Charles V and Juan Sebasti\u00e1n Elcano\u201d), held at the Imperial Palace in Vienna (Austria). In addition, the Foundation was part of the honorary committee along with the Spanish Embassy in Austria.<\/p>\n

The event, included in the official activity programme of the National Commission for the commemoration of the \u201c5th<\/sup> centenary since the first round the world trip expedition of Fernando de Magallanes and Juan Sebasti\u00e1n Elcano\u201d, was organised by the Monastery of Yuste\u2019s Royal Association of Knights along with the Austro-Spanish Society in Vienna and the Cooperation Network of European Routes of Emperor Charles V. The Spanish Ambassador in Vienna, Juan Suny\u00e9 Mend\u00eda, and the Head of the House of Habsburg-Lorraine, Karl von Habsburg, also participated in the seminar.<\/p>\n

The Symposium meant to celebrate the 500 years since the departure of the expedition led by Fernando de Magallanes from Seville to the Moluccas (the Spice Islands) and his return three years later under the command of Juan Sebasti\u00e1n Elcano, and it included the speech of renowned specialist professors from universities in Vienna and Graz (Austria), Amiens (France), Seville and Salamanca.<\/p>\n

During the seminar, the participants of the symposium had the chance to taste different products from Extremadura, sponsored by Avante-Foods from Extremadura.<\/p>\n

La Fundaci\u00f3n Academia Europea e Iberoamericana de Yuste ha colaborado en la organizaci\u00f3n del simposio \u201cLa primera vuelta al Mundo. Carlos V y Juan Sebasti\u00e1n Elcano\u201d celebrado en el Palacio Imperial de Viena (Austria). As\u00ed mismo, ha formado parte del comit\u00e9 de honor junto con la embajada de Espa\u00f1a en Austria.<\/strong><\/p>

Este evento, enmarcado en el programa oficial de actividades de la Comisi\u00f3n Nacional para la conmemoraci\u00f3n del \u201cV Centenario de la expedici\u00f3n de la primera vuelta al mundo de Fernando de Magallanes y Juan Sebasti\u00e1n Elcano\u201d fue organizado por la Real Asociaci\u00f3n de Caballeros del Monasterio de Yuste junto con la Sociedad Austro-Espa\u00f1ola en Viena y la Red de Cooperaci\u00f3n de las Rutas Europeas del Emperador Carlos V. En el seminario tambi\u00e9n participaron el embajador de Espa\u00f1a en Viena, Juan Suny\u00e9 Mend\u00eda, y el Jefe de la Casa de Habsburgo, Carlos de Habsburgo-Lorena.<\/p>

Dedicado a celebrar los 500 a\u00f1os de la salida de la expedici\u00f3n liderada por Fernando de Magallanes desde Sevilla a las Molucas (islas de las especias) y su vuelta tres a\u00f1os m\u00e1s tarde al mando de Juan Sebasti\u00e1n Elcano, cont\u00f3 con la intervenci\u00f3n de reconocidos catedr\u00e1ticos especialistas venidos de las universidades de Viena y Graz (Austria), Amiens (Francia), Sevilla y Salamanca.<\/p>

Durante el seminario, los participantes en el simposio tuvieron la ocasi\u00f3n de degustar diferentes productos extreme\u00f1os patrocinados por Avante\u2013Alimentos de Extremadura.<\/p>
