The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation\u2019s Board of Trustees met in M\u00e9rida under the presidency of the President of the Regional Government of Extremadura, Guillermo Fern\u00e1ndez Vara, and approved its 2020 Action Plan, which includes a broad and diverse activity programme that will contribute to keep delving into the study and analysis of European reality as well as to foster and consolidate the ties between Extremadura, Europe and Ibero-America.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Additionally, the Board of Trustees approved the merger with the Centro de Documentaci\u00f3n e Informaci\u00f3n Europea de Extremadura (CDIEX) – (Documentation and Information on Europe Centre of Extremadura) – through absorption. So far, this centre was in charge of the dissemination of European values through education and training when collaborating with other institutions, entities, and of the value of the documents it manages.<\/p>\n

In this manner, the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation consolidates itself as an institution that promotes the study and analysis of European reality from Extremadura.<\/p>\n

2020 ACTION PLAN<\/strong><\/p>\n

Among the activities that stand out are: the training programme Campus Yuste<\/em>, which includes the international summer courses organised in collaboration with the University of Extremadura; the International Symposium for Young Researchers: Extremadura and America<\/em>, where Americanist young researchers, PhDs and PhD students will gather to present their new lines of research; Tribuna Euro-Ibero-America<\/em>, a programme that includes presentations made by experts in different university centres and Aula Abierta<\/em>, which includes a variety of academic activities, such as seminars, conferences, round tables or encounters with debates or reflections on historical subjects or related to present time affairs.<\/p>\n

An outstanding activity of the Foundation will be the delivery of the European Carlos V Award, which his organised coinciding with Europe Day under the presidency of His Majesty King Felipe VI. The foundation will announce the next call to present proposals for the 14th<\/sup> edition of this award at the beginning of January.<\/p>\n

The Foundation\u2019s academic and research field will focus on already consolidated activities, such as the calls for the Carlos V European Award – \u201cEuropean Research and Mobility Grants for European Studies- and the \u201cDoctoral Seminar\u201d where the chosen contributions presented through these grants will be presented, and the Research Prize to Ibero-American Doctoral Theses. Relations between Ibero-America, Europe and Extremadura.<\/em><\/p>\n

In addition, the Foundation will keep working on cultural and awareness programmes as the Emperor\u2019s Concerts<\/em>, the Film Production Workshop<\/em>, in collaboration with the Iberian Festival in Badajoz; school programmes on Europe and Ibero-America<\/em> carried out in different education centres of the region, and the Network of Routes of Emperor Charles V<\/em>, whose Managing Board is chaired by the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation.<\/p>\n

In the like manner, Yuste Foundation will continue to strengthen its editorial line, which focuses on historical subjects related to Europe and Ibero-America and on reflecting on current Euro-Ibero-American socio-political affairs, and to gather the research works from the Doctoral Seminar, organised within the framework of each Carlos V European Award edition.<\/p>\n

The Foundation will, furthermore, keep working with other national and international associations, foundations and entities to strengthen networks and to keep having bridges between Europe and Ibero-America.<\/p>\n

El Patronato de la Fundaci\u00f3n Academia Europea e Iberoamericana de Yuste, reunido en M\u00e9rida bajo la presidencia del presidente de la Junta de Extremadura, Guillermo Fern\u00e1ndez Vara, ha aprobado su Plan de Actuaci\u00f3n para 2020, con un amplio y diverso programa de actividades que contribuir\u00e1 a seguir profundizando en el estudio y an\u00e1lisis de la realidad europea, as\u00ed como a impulsar y consolidar los v\u00ednculos entre Extremadura, Europa e Iberoam\u00e9rica.<\/strong><\/p>

Asimismo, el Patronato ha aprobado la fusi\u00f3n, por absorci\u00f3n, del Centro de Documentaci\u00f3n e Informaci\u00f3n Europea de Extremadura (CDIEX), hasta ahora instituci\u00f3n encargada de difundir los valores europeos a trav\u00e9s de la educaci\u00f3n y la formaci\u00f3n a trav\u00e9s de la colaboraci\u00f3n con otras instituciones y entidades y del valor documental que la misma gestiona.<\/p>

De esta forma, la Fundaci\u00f3n Academia Europea e Iberoamericana de Yuste se consolida como instituci\u00f3n que promueve el estudio y an\u00e1lisis de la realidad europea desde Extremadura.<\/p>

PLAN DE ACTUACI\u00d3N 2020<\/strong><\/p>

Entre las actividades, destacan el programa formativo Campus Yuste, que incluye los cursos internacionales de verano, organizados en colaboraci\u00f3n con la Universidad de Extremadura; el Simposio Internacional para J\u00f3venes Investigadores: Extremadura y Am\u00e9rica, donde se dar\u00e1n cita j\u00f3venes investigadores, doctores y doctorandos americanistas, con el objetivo de presentar sus nuevas l\u00edneas de investigaci\u00f3n; Tribuna Euro-Iberoam\u00e9rica, programa que incluye ponencias de expertos en distintos centros universitarios; Aula Abierta, que recoge otro tipo de actividades acad\u00e9micas, como seminarios, jornadas, mesas redondas o encuentros de debate y de reflexi\u00f3n sobre temas hist\u00f3ricos o relacionados con la actualidad.<\/p>

Una actividad destacada de la Fundaci\u00f3n durante el a\u00f1o es la entrega del Premio Europeo Carlos V, que bajo la presidencia del Rey Felipe VI se organiza coincidiendo con el D\u00eda de Europa. La Fundaci\u00f3n anunciar\u00e1 a principios de enero la pr\u00f3xima convocatoria para presentar propuestas a la XIV edici\u00f3n de este premio.<\/p>

El \u00e1mbito acad\u00e9mico y de investigaci\u00f3n de la Fundaci\u00f3n se centrar\u00e1 en actividades ya consolidadas, como son las convocatorias de las \u2018Becas Europeas de Investigaci\u00f3n y Movilidad Premio Europeo Carlos V\u2019, y el Seminario Doctoral en el que se presentan las contribuciones seleccionadas a trav\u00e9s de dichas becas, y la del \u2018Premio de Investigaci\u00f3n a Tesis Doctorales Iberoamericanas. Relaciones entre Iberoam\u00e9rica, Europa y Extremadura\u2019.<\/p>

Asimismo, se seguir\u00e1 apostando por programas culturales y de sensibilizaci\u00f3n como los Conciertos del Emperador; el Taller de Creaci\u00f3n Cinematogr\u00e1fica, en colaboraci\u00f3n con el Festival Ib\u00e9rico de Cine de Badajoz; los programas escolares sobre Europa e Iberoam\u00e9rica, que se realizar\u00e1n en distintos centros educativos de la regi\u00f3n, y la Red de Rutas del Emperador Carlos V, cuya Junta Directiva preside la Fundaci\u00f3n Academia Europea e Iberoamericana de Yuste.<\/p>

De la misma forma, Fundaci\u00f3n Yuste continuar\u00e1 fortaleciendo su l\u00ednea editorial orientada a temas hist\u00f3ricos relacionados con Europa e Iberoam\u00e9rica, a reflexionar sobre la actualidad sociopol\u00edtica euroiberoamericana, y a recoger los trabajos de investigaci\u00f3n del seminario doctoral organizado en el marco de cada edici\u00f3n del Premio Europeo Carlos V.<\/p>

Adem\u00e1s, se seguir\u00e1 trabajando con otras asociaciones, fundaciones y entidades nacionales e internacionales para reforzar las redes y seguir tendiendo puentes entre Europa e Iberoam\u00e9rica.<\/p>
