The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation has hosted the \u201cI Inter-Institutional Meeting of the Cooperation Programme through Euro-Ibero-American Cultural Routes and Itineraries\u201d held at the Royal Monastery of Yuste with the aim of promoting cooperation between routes and itineraries.<\/strong>\u00a0(23\/09\/2021)<\/p>\n

To this end, it was proposed that an inter-institutional programme be set up that considers the creation of a chair on Euro-Ibero-American cultural routes and itineraries; the strengthening of capacities and technical and technical assistance in the management of cultural routes and itineraries; the launch of an incubator for cultural route and itinerary projects; to support the University Network for Studies on Cultural Itineraries; and the preparation of a Manifesto and the formation of an Inter-institutional Alliance.<\/p>\n

The President of the Network of Routes of Emperor Charles V and delegate of the Foundation in Brussels, Miguel \u00c1ngel Mart\u00edn, explained that the meeting aims “to create synergies and enhance cultural routes as a vector of development from an immaterial point of view through the promotion of values, the defence and dissemination of heritage, as in a more pragmatic way, developing projects that enable economic and social development through local tourism, entrepreneurship and creativity”.<\/p>\n

In this sense, Martin Ramos stressed that the project is being carried out within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals under the pillar of education and culture as engines of research and development, also noting Yuste as a meeting place. In addition, he pointed out that Yuste is “a place of reference in the development of the cultural route linked to the figure of Emperor Charles V, and a bridge between Europe and Ibero-America”.<\/p>\n

This meeting is promoted by the Organization of Ibero-American States (OEI) in collaboration with the Institute of Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe and the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation, and has counted with the participation of the Network of Routes of Emperor Charles V, the European Institute of Cultural Routes, the Ministry of Culture and Sport, the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID), the European Union, Latin America and the Caribbean International Foundation (EU-LAC), the Centre for Ibero-American Studies (CEIB), the ICOMOS Network, the Organization of Ibero-American States for Education, Science and Culture (OEI), and the universities of Barcelona, Extremadura and Zacatecas (Mexico).<\/p>\n
