The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation\u2019s Campus Yuste training programme has achieved a massive enrolment of more than a thousand students from 26 countries in Europe, Latin America and Asia and has had more than two hundred speakers including professors and international experts.<\/strong> (03\/11\/2021)<\/p>\n

The programme, which is part of the XXII international summer-autumn courses of the University of Extremadura, has been carried out since the end of June, over several weeks in July, September and early October in the afternoon in face-to-face and online format to enable the enrolment of more people from Europe and America. Thus, the data reflect the great reception of the proposals offered at Campus Yuste: 213 people have been awarded grants by Yuste Foundation to enrol in the courses; it has had two hundred and nine teachers and more than a thousand students in total from 26 countries, such as Argentina, Belgium, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, France, Germany, Guatemala, Italy, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Ukraine, United States and Venezuela.<\/p>\n

Campus Yuste aims to stimulate debate and reflection by academics, researchers and professionals on the process of European construction and integration, as well as current European issues and other issues related to the history and memory of Europe and Ibero-America.<\/p>\n

This edition of the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation\u2019s programme has been composed of eight specialised courses and organised from a multidisciplinary point of view. In this manner, the courses offered were: \u201cIberian and Transatlantic Cultural Dialogues: The Spirit of the Avant-Gardes, a Century Later\u201d; \u201cDiplomacy in the Worlds of Charles V: Negotiation and Dialogue\u201d; \u201cThe Future of Europe: Opportunities on Shared and Global Challenges\u201d; \u201cEuropean Union-Latin America and the Caribbean Relations: A Renewed Agenda and a Programme for Recovery under the SDGs\u201d; \u201cEuropean Citizenship, Identities and Values\u201d; \u201cThe Future of Healthcare in Europe and the World: Challenges and Solutions to a Global Challenge\u201d; \u201cUniversal Accessibility, Social Inclusion and the Lever of Change Towards Equality\u201d; and \u201cEconomic Impact of Climate Change in Latin America and the Caribbean\u201d.<\/p>\n

The extensive follow-up of the different presentations through the Foundation\u2019s live broadcast via its YouTube channel must be added to this, which denotes the support for the proposals presented and reinforces the holding of upcoming calls for Campus Yuste.<\/p>\n

Campus Yuste has counted with the collaboration of the Office of Cross-Border Initiatives of the Regional Government of Extremadura; the University of \u00c9vora; the Chair of Iberian Studies and the headquarters in Lisbon of the Organisation of Ibero-American States; the Cooperation Network of the Routes of the Emperor Charles V; the Extremaduran Council of the European Movement; EU-LAC Foundation; the Ibero-American General Secretariat (SEGIB); EuroAmerica Foundation; the Universidad de Valencia Foundation; the \u201cJes\u00fas Us\u00f3n\u201d Minimum Invasion Surgery Centre; the programme ‘Universidad Cultura Emprendedora’ of the Regional Government of Extremadura; the Provincial Council of C\u00e1ceres; the Provincial Council of Badajoz; National Heritage; the University of Extremadura; the Extremadura Accessibility Offices – OTAEX, OACEX, OAS – and the Sign Language Interpreting Service managed by APAMEX, PLENA INCLUSI\u00d3N, FEDAPAS and FEXAS, respectively; the project \u201cRepensar Extremadura\u201d, the Holy Year of Guadalupe and the City Council of Guadalupe; and the Regional Government of Extremadura.<\/p>\n
