Year of Publication<\/strong>: 2021 Hern\u00e1n Cort\u00e9s en el siglo XXI. V Centenario de la llegada de Hern\u00e1n Cort\u00e9s a M\u00e9xico, is the 6th\u00a0\u00a0 volume of our book collection \u201cEntre dos mundos: Am\u00e9rica y Europa desde Extremadura\u201d. It gathers all the conferences and presentations that took place in the cities of Medell\u00edn and Trujillo (Extremadura, Spain) on 4, 5 and 6 April 2019 during the international congress that was given the same name. This book delves into historiographic knowledge concerning the figure of Hern\u00e1n Cort\u00e9s in the context of the 16th century, and it also attempts to disseminate and make the knowledge on the historical transcendence of the polyhedral personality of Cort\u00e9s known, according to his origin, youth, education and his colonising, administrative and expeditionary tasks. His concerns as a businessman and as a tireless fighter for the recognition of his legitimate rights are also studied.
