<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\nThe European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation and the Iberian Film Festival of Badajoz invite young people aged 18 to 30, who are residents of Extremadura, to join the Young Jury of the 28th Iberian Film Festival, which will be held from 19 to 23 July 2022 in Badajoz, Olivenza and San Vicente de Alc\u00e1ntara. This jury will award the \u201cLuis Alcoriza\u201d Prize to the best short film, in their view, in the official section. <\/strong>(08\/06\/2022)<\/p>\n Those interested in becoming a member of the Young Jury can register until 4 July filling in the form<\/a> that they will find on the Festival\u2019s website: www.festivaldecine.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n The organisation of the Iberian Film Festival will give those registered a simple test of cinematographic analysis of a short film in order to guarantee the candidates\u2019 competence and suitability.<\/p>\n The members of the Young Jury will be able to participate in all the Festival\u2019s activities and will obtain a certificate accrediting their status as a Young Jury at the 2022 28th Iberian Film Festival of Badajoz. They will be required to attend all official short film sessions in competition.<\/p>\n With this activity, the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation and the Iberian Film Festival of Badajoz promote the participation of youth in the audio-visual and cinematographic field. The Jury\u2019s Prize is named after Luis Alcoriza in tribute to this director, screenwriter and film actor who was born in Badajoz and exiled in Mexico after the civil war, becoming one of the greatest figures of Mexican cinema.
His career includes collaborations with Luis Bu\u00f1uel in eight scripts, including \u201cLos olvidados\u201d and \u201cEl \u00e1ngel exterminador\u201d among others.<\/p>\n
