Guadalupe is not only a physical, beautiful place, but has secularly been the cradle of thought and thinkers, of architects of a different relationship with the New World, an equal to equal one, one without vassals or vassalage, a spark from Guadalupe that lit the flame of an oil lamp, which was so often hesitant and that we now want to stoke. We wish to stir it up as much as we can, because the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation has the honourable task of making Guadalupe a physical, academic, intellectual, spiritual, and emotional centre, in the 21st<\/sup> century, of the relations between Europe and Ibero-America in order to contribute to the promotion of democracy, respect for human rights, the promotion of peace and harmony as well as the integral, harmonious, balanced and sustainable development for all peoples and nations through the promotion of culture, research, the dissemination of knowledge, social integration and the promotion of multilingualism. And this is all from this place, from Guadalupe, which is also so attached to Yuste, a place of European worship. The Yuste-Guadalupe symbiosis will bear generous fruit in the future as it already does at present. Good examples of these have been the \u201c1st Guadeloupean World Heritage Sessions\u201d, which were held on 16 and 17 September 2021 on the occasion of the \u201cHoly Year of Guadalupe 2021-2022\u201d, and were directed by the Professor of the University of Extremadura D. Francisco Javier Pizarro G\u00f3mez and sponsored by the Provincial Council of C\u00e1ceres, the Provincial Council of Badajoz, the town council of Guadalupe, the Ministry of Culture and Sports and the Ministry of Finance of Spain, as well as welcomed by the secular hospitality of the Franciscan Order. What was said in Guadalupe during those two days is reflected in this book, which it will be one of the first tiles of the great mosaic of Guadalupe, a rich, varied and colourful one that we wish to build.<\/p>\n
