Yuste Foundation together with the European Institute of Cultural Routes and the Organization of Ibero-American States (OEI), and in collaboration with the Cooperation Network of Historic Pilgrimage Roads to Guadalupe, have organised the 1st<\/sup> Cooperation Technical Sessions: Historic Roads to Guadalupe to be held on 27 and 28 October in the Auditorium of the Royal Monastery of Santa Mar\u00eda de Guadalupe. <\/strong>(26\/10\/2022)<\/p>\n

The aim of the sessions is to contribute to cohesion between territories, collectives and people working in the field of cultural cooperation.<\/p>\n

To this end, the creation of synergies between entities and reference networks working in the field of culture, history, education and research as lines of action both in Europe and in Latin America are aimed for.<\/p>\n

The sessions will delve into the impact that belonging to the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe entails for the routes, itineraries and roads and representatives from the Paths of Passion, V\u00eda de la Plata, the Routes of the Emperor Charles V, the Transhumance Route, St. James\u2019 Way and the European Association of Jewish Heritage will present the work they do in their territories.<\/p>\n

Part of the programme of the Technical Sessions will focus on the work that has been carried out for several years by the Asociaci\u00f3n Red de Caminos Hist\u00f3ricos de Peregrinaci\u00f3n a Guadalupe (Network of Historical Pilgrimage Roads to Guadalupe Association).<\/p>\n

Thus, representatives of the Association for the Promotion and Rural Development of the Villuercas, Ibores and La Jara (APRODERVI); the Association of Pilgrims to Guadalupe; the director of TRIVIUM, and the president of the Cooperation Network of Historical Pilgrimage Roads to Guadalupe, Felipe S\u00e1nchez Barba, will also participate.<\/p>\n

People from Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, Spain, Mexico, Peru and Venezuela have registered for the sessions and the latter can be followed by streaming through Yuste Foundation\u2019s Youtube channel: https:\/\/bit.ly\/2xFifEW<\/a><\/p>\n

The City Council of Guadalupe; the Franciscan Community of the Royal Monastery of Santa Mar\u00eda de Guadalupe; the Regional Government of Extremadura; EU-LAC Foundation; the Spanish Ministry of Culture through the Directorate of Cultural Heritage and Fine Arts; the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation for Development (AECID); the Autonomous University of Zacatecas through the Doctoral and Master\u2019s Unit in History; the Spanish Committee of the International Council of Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS-Spain), and the University of Extremadura collaborate in these sessions.<\/p>\n
