This publication gathers the main presentations given during the summer course \u201cThe Future of Europe: Opportunities on Shared and Global Challenges\u201d, which was organised by the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation at the Monastery of Yuste from 12 to 15 July 2021. This course is included within the framework of the Foundation\u2019s Campus Yuste, thus contributing to its annual academic programme, which is devoted to analysing, reflecting on and debating the process of European integration. The course counted with the collaboration of the University of Extremadura, the Regional Committee of the European Movement of Extremadura, the Research Group of Present Time History of the History Department from the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of the University of Extremadura, and with the support of the Regional Government of Extremadura, the Regional Councils of C\u00e1ceres and Badajoz, and National Heritage.<\/p>\n

The journal “Pliegos de Yuste” reaches its twentieth edition already and it is perhaps the most special of all because its gestation and publication lie in two different worlds. This volume includes the presentations from the course \u201cThe European Integration Process.
