<\/a><\/p>\nYuste Foundation has launched the project \u201cYouth and Human Rights Activism\u201d along with the Extremaduran Agency for International Cooperation for Development (AEXCID) with the aim of creating a meeting, support and networking platform of people interested in generating messages that transform society and raise awareness of the importance and value of respect for universal human rights. <\/strong>(31\/05\/2023)<\/p>\n The project, addressed to young people aged between 18 and 30, is divided into several phases. During the first phase, which was held in April, a survey was conducted among the target audience in order to learn about their worries and concerns related to human rights. The result of this survey indicated that the main concerns of young people are mental health, difficulty in accessing housing, climate change, job insecurity and social inclusion, among others.<\/p>\n The second phase will include the celebration of a conference on 5, 6 and 7 June at the Espacio de Creaci\u00f3n Joven in C\u00e1ceres and the Factor\u00eda Joven in Plasencia and Badajoz respectively, from 18:00 to 20:30 pm. The main aim is to delve into the results of the survey through gamification games, participatory dynamics and design thinking. These sessions will also be streamed through Yuste Foundation\u2019s Youtube channel. Those interested in registering for these sessions can do so via the following link: https:\/\/bit.ly\/3Iv8XNX<\/a><\/p>\n As a final activity, the celebration of a three-morning course \u2015within the Campus Yuste programme, which is framed within the University of Extremadura\u2019s international summer\/autumn courses\u2015 will take place at the Monastery of San Jer\u00f3nimo de Yuste. This meeting space intends to weave a network of collaborations that serve as a loudspeaker in order to concentrate and reinforce the main demands of young activists.<\/p>\n This activity will have an innovative format because it is proposed, rather than as an academic activity per se, as a meeting space and for the exchange of experiences, workshops and a platform for debate and demands in which young regional, national and international activists have a loudspeaker for their demands and a space in which to share the achievements, challenges and strategies of their struggles.<\/p>\n The topics to be analysed during these three days will focus mainly on youth and its relationship with social, economic and cultural rights; civil and political rights; and climate change.
