<\/a><\/p>\nThe European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation participated in the Annual Meeting of the Council of Rectors of the Association of Latin American Universities (AULA), which was held at the Polytechnic Institute of Lisbon. This meeting, which was chaired by the rector of the University of Extremadura, Pedro Fern\u00e1ndez Salguero, was attended by the director of the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation, Juan Carlos Moreno, and has valued the role of Yuste Foundation in improving and favouring the space of relations between Europe and Ibero-America based on the promotion of education and culture. <\/strong>(25\/11\/2023)<\/p>\n One of the issues that was discussed at this meeting is the planning of the Latin American Virtual Campus, CAVILA, regarding the R&D&I area, addressing the design of a space in the new CAVILA website, where research groups from member institutions can be linked by related research lines. The incorporation of members of the CAVILA university community in research projects of other institutions as well as virtual mobility in official degrees or those of the universities was also dealt with.<\/p>\n Yuste Foundation collaborates annually in the academic offer of the International Virtual School with 60 grants for three courses that are offered by the University of Extremadura.<\/p>\n The International Virtual School of AULA-CAVILA (EVI) is the strategy of the association to promote teacher training with an international and innovative perspective in the disciplinary and pedagogical fields. The EVI promotes the exchange of scientific and educational experiences to advance the integration of an Ibero-American university space and the consolidation of learning communities.<\/p>\n The Association of Latin American Universities<\/strong><\/p>\n AULA is an association that was promoted by the Extremaduran Centre for Studies and Cooperation with Ibero-America (merged with Yuste Foundation in 2017) and the University of Extremadura in 2007. It consists of the Argentinian universities of La Plata; the National University of C\u00f3rdoba; the National University of Entre R\u00edos; the National Northeast University of the Province of Buenos Aires; the University of Quilmes, and the National University of the Northeast; the University of Porto and the Polytechnic Institute of Lisbon, in Portugal; the University of Extremadura (Spain); the Mexican universities of Guadalajara and the Autonomous University of Chiapas; the University of Santiago de Chile; the Autonomous National University of Honduras; the Autonomous National University of Nicaragua; the University of Panam\u00e1; the Federal University of Santa Mar\u00eda (Brazil); the University of Asunci\u00f3n of Paraguay; the Latin American Autonomous University of Medell\u00edn; the Agrarian University of Havana; and the Juan Misael Saracho Autonomous University of Bolivia. In addition, the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation is an honorary member of this association.<\/p>\n As an important innovation, the meeting approved the incorporation of the Maputo Pedagogical University of Mozambique. With this addition, CAVILA opens to universities in Portuguese-speaking African countries.<\/p>\n AULA\u2019s main initiative is the Latin American Virtual Campus, CAVILA; a campus for the promotion of teaching, research and Latin American identity through cultural extension (www.cavila.org).<\/p>\n CAVILA, which initiated its activities in 2008, has undergone a transformation process and has become a powerful campus, including not only a shared academic programme but also mutual support as far as the transfer of new information technologies and communication; the possibility of sharing virtual libraries; the creation of research networks or student mobility programmes among the public universities it comprises is concerned.<\/p>\n In this virtual space, the different universities that integrate it offer higher education, degrees and courses, undergraduate and graduate subjects and work in research networks.<\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][et_pb_post_nav in_same_term=”on” prev_text=”VER NOTICIA ANTERIOR” next_text=”VER NOTICIA SIGUIENTE” admin_label=”\u2190 NAVEGACION POR NOTICIAS \u2192” _builder_version=”4.16″ custom_margin=”||3%|” global_colors_info=”{}”][\/et_pb_post_nav][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][\/et_pb_section]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation participated in the Annual Meeting of the Council of Rectors of the Association of Latin American Universities (AULA), which was held at the Polytechnic Institute of Lisbon.
