<\/a><\/p>\nThe regional minister of Presidency, Interior, and Social Dialogue, Abel Bautista, the president of the General Council of the Judiciary, Vicente Guilarte, and the president of the High Court of Justice of Extremadura, Mar\u00eda F\u00e9lix Tena, closed the 2nd Ibero-American and European Agricultural and Livestock Law Course, organised by the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation and the General Council of the Judiciary, under the agreement signed between both institutions. <\/strong>(13\/03\/2024)<\/p>\n During his speech, Bautista advocated for the defence of the primary sector as the \u201cmain source of growth and wealth generation\u201d in Extremadura and pointed out that \u201cthe countryside has begun to awaken demanding legal guarantees, coherence, and the redefinition of the CAP (Common Agricultural Policy)\u201d. In addition, he identified depopulation and the lack of generational replacement as challenges for the primary sector.<\/p>\n In his speech, Bautista stated that the \u201cjudiciary and judges have become a true bastion against those who seek to transgress the laws without consequences\u201d, adding that \u201cwithout Law, without legal guarantees, without the rule of law, without respect for the Constitution, democracy is not possible\u201d.<\/p>\n On his part, the president of the General Council of the Judiciary, Vicente Guilarte, showed his support for the agricultural and livestock sector by affirming that it is now more necessary than ever to \u201cprovide them with legal certainty\u201d. Additionally, he expressed his support and that of the General Council of the Judiciary \u201cfor any continuous training activity\u201d.<\/p>\n Referring to the renewal of the General Council of the Judiciary, Guilarte Guti\u00e9rrez stated that it is necessary to \u201cseek a system that facilitates judicial independence once and for all\u201d because currently the path we are on \u201cis dead and we must all react\u201d.<\/p>\n Before the closing, the director of the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation, Juan Carlos Moreno, intervened to introduce the presentation by the magistrate of the 2nd Chamber of the Supreme Court, Pablo Llarena Conde. He stated that the judge is the gateway through which one accesses from the theory of justice to the real world of the application of the law. He\/she is the figure who \u201cgives human meaning to the legal norm by solving a problem\u201d.
