The summer course \u201cEuropean Union, Latin America, and the Caribbean Relations in the framework of the presidencies of the EU Council and the EU-CELAC and Ibero-American Summits\u201d is the result of the close co-organisation between Yuste Foundation and the EU-LAC Foundation. It counted with the collaboration of the Ibero-American General Secretariat (SEGIB), Euroam\u00e9rica Foundation, the University of Extremadura, and the Provincial Councils of C\u00e1ceres and Badajoz, along with the sponsorship of MAFRESA. The event, held in a hybrid format, took place on June 27, 28, and 29, 2023, at the Monastery of San Jer\u00f3nimo de Yuste, Extremadura.<\/p>\n

The course was organised within the framework of Spain\u2019s presidency of the Council of the European Union and the celebration of the EU-CELAC Summit in July 2023, following an eight-year absence of summits in the bi-regional space. It was directed by Adri\u00e1n Bonilla, director of the EU-LAC Foundation; Ram\u00f3n J\u00e1uregui Atondo, member of the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste and president of Euroam\u00e9rica Foundation; and Mar\u00eda Salvadora Ortiz, member of the board of trustees of the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation. The event\u2019s secretariat and its moderation was led \u00a0by Lorena Chano Rega\u00f1a, assistant professor of Constitutional Law at the University of Extremadura; Miguel \u00c1ngel Mart\u00edn Ramos, head of European affairs and delegate in Brussels for the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation; and Diego Dur\u00e1n Cruz, programme coordinator for interinstitutional associations of the EU-LAC Foundation.<\/p>\n
