The staff of the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation held a working meeting in Plasencia to advance work on the Strategic Plan that will set out the institution\u2019s main priorities for the next four years. The institution\u2019s director, Fernando Pizarro, highlighted the main objectives as \u201cstrengthening links with Ibero-America; increasing the Foundation\u2019s recognition among the public in the region; and consolidating Extremadura as a bridge between Europe and Ibero-America\u201d. <\/strong>(15\/09\/2026)<\/p>\n

Before the working session began, the mayor of Plasencia, David D\u00f3niga, and the director of the university centre, Rodrigo Mart\u00ednez, welcomed the Foundation\u2019s staff and offered their support for the development of future joint activities. According to Pizarro, the meeting also served \u201cto strengthen ties between institutions and devise new projects for the future\u201d.<\/p>\n

For the Foundation\u2019s director, the Strategic Plan is conceived as a key tool which, once approved by the president of the Regional Government of Extremadura and president of Yuste Foundation, Mar\u00eda Guardiola, \u201cwill chart the course the institution will follow during the new period\u201d, he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is a diplomatic, academic and cultural tool whose challenges include continuing to develop the Foundation\u2019s statutes and ensuring that its work becomes increasingly well- known and valued by the public\u201d, the Foundation\u2019s director explained. In this regard, Pizarro stressed the institution\u2019s commitment to becoming an essential organisation valued by the public for the activities it carries out in the region, \u201ccontributing to greater knowledge of Extremadura and to its visibility as a bridge between Europe and Ibero-America\u201d.<\/p>\n

Yuste Foundation\u2019s 2027\u20132030 Strategic Plan will provide a roadmap aimed at strengthening the Foundation\u2019s European and Ibero-American dimension, increasing its presence and recognition within Extremaduran society, and continuing to promote its academic, cultural and cooperation activities from Extremadura.<\/p>\n
