Since the 1980s, the Holocaust has sparked increased interest in and studies on the past, with the aim of recognizing violations committed by human groups against other human groups. The acts of recognition, contrition and reparation which have been raised since then \u2013 and those that have yet to be raised \u2013 stir up a broad and intense debate. This debate, which under no circumstances can forget that memory is normally concealed, addresses among other issues the relationship between remembrance, memory and history.<\/p>\n
