This workshop will examine the role of the media as a tool for safeguarding liberties and human rights, shedding light on inequalities, and the media being speakers for the challenges we must tackle to make institutions stronger and promote democratic governance in all countries.<\/p>\n

In a similar vein it will also analyse the precarious situation of journalism professionals, their freedom to carry out their work in conflict zones, as well as the role they have in the fight against corruption and improving transparency in democratic governments.<\/p>\n
