Tzvetan Todorov<\/h2>

\u00a0Sill\u00f3n Jean-Jacques Rousseau <\/strong><\/p>

Tzvetan Todorov naci\u00f3 en 1939 en Sofia, Bulgaria. Despu\u00e9s de haber terminado sus estudios superiores en la Universidad de Sofia (Filolog\u00eda Eslava), viaj\u00f3 a Francia en 1963 para especializarse. De 1968 a 2005, trabaj\u00f3 como investigador en el Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique<\/em>; desde 2005 es Director de investigaci\u00f3n honor\u00edfico. Ha sido profesor visitante de varias Universidades americanas, destacando Columbia y Harvard. Sus trabajos se centraron en primer lugar en la teor\u00eda literaria, y posteriormente en la historia de las ideas y los problemas de sociedad.<\/p>

En 2008 le fue concedido el Premio Pr\u00edncipe de Asturias de Ciencias Sociales por representar \"el esp\u00edritu de la unidad de Europa, del Este y del Oeste, y el compromiso con los ideales de libertad, igualdad, integraci\u00f3n y justicia\"<\/em>.<\/p>
