Acad\u00e9mica de n\u00famero de la Real Academia de la Historia. Acad\u00e9mica de n\u00famero de la Real Academia Espa\u00f1ola. Catedr\u00e1tica de Historia de las Ideas y Formas Pol\u00edticas de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid (1984-2000), Catedr\u00e1tica de Historia de las Ideas Morales y Pol\u00edticas de la Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, de Madrid (desde 2000).<\/p>

Ha sido Directora del Centro de Estudios Pol\u00edticos y Constitucionales y Consejera Nata del Consejo de Estado (1996-2004). Miembro de prestigiosos Patronatos y de Consejos Asesores de importantes Fundaciones e instituciones p\u00fablicas y privadas. En la actualidad es Presidenta Institucional de UNEDISA, Unidad Editorial, S.A. del grupo Rizzoli Corriere de la Sera. Asimismo ha desempe\u00f1ado distintas responsabilidades en funciones de gesti\u00f3n universitaria y de empresa. Comisaria de exposiciones hist\u00f3ricas de alcance internacional y organizadora de determinados eventos culturales.<\/p>

Especialista en historia moderna europea y espa\u00f1ola y en otros temas de historia y filosof\u00eda pol\u00edtica de distintas \u00e9pocas, ha publicado varios libros y numerosas monograf\u00edas e impartido cursos en universidades espa\u00f1olas y extranjeras.De las m\u00e1s de doscientas publicaciones de la que es autora, pueden destacarse los libros: El pensamiento de Montesquieu. Ciencia y filosof\u00eda en el siglo XVIII. (1\u00aa edici\u00f3n en 1984. Premiado en Francia en 1985. Reeditado en 2005); Individualismo noble e individualismo burgu\u00e9s (1991); Nobleza y sociedad en la Espa\u00f1a Moderna (tres vol\u00famenes: 1996, 1997 y 1999); De Historia y de Literatura como elementos de ficci\u00f3n (2002); Raz\u00f3n, sentimiento y utop\u00eda (edici\u00f3n 1\u00aa en 1999, reeditado con importantes ampliaciones en 2006); as\u00ed como los Cat\u00e1logos de las exposiciones hist\u00f3ricas de las que ha sido Comisaria y autora de su proyecto y organizaci\u00f3n: Carlos III y la Ilustraci\u00f3n (Madrid y Barcelona, 1988); Espa\u00f1a fin de siglo. 1898. (Madrid y Barcelona, 1998); Felipe II. Un Monarca y su \u00e9poca. La Monarqu\u00eda Hisp\u00e1nica (El Escorial, 1998); Veinte a\u00f1os de la Constituci\u00f3n Espa\u00f1ola. 1978-1998 (Congreso de los Diputados, 1998); Ilustraci\u00f3n y proyecto liberal. La lucha contra la pobreza. (La Lonja de Zaragoza, 2001); ABC. Un siglo de cambios (Biblioteca Nacional. Madrid, 2003); El mundo que vivi\u00f3 Cervantes (Madrid, 2005-2006): Zaragoza y Arag\u00f3n: Encrucijadas de culturas (Zaragoza 2006-2008).- A partir del curso acad\u00e9mico 1984-85 fue encargada de los estudios universitarios de S.A.R. la Infanta D\u00aa Cristina de Borb\u00f3n en la Facultad de Ciencias Pol\u00edticas y Sociolog\u00eda de la Universidad Complutense; en 1988 comenz\u00f3 su labor como profesora de Historia de S.A.R. el Pr\u00edncipe de Asturias hasta el final de sus estudios universitarios y acad\u00e9micos, continuando hasta 2005 en un seminario de historia y ciencias sociales.- Ha obtenido, entre otros, el Premio Internacional Montesquieu 1985, otorgado en Francia por su citado libro de 1984; el Premio Valores Humanos (1996) del Grupo Correo de Comunicaci\u00f3n; Premio Lafuente Ferrari (1999) de la Asociaci\u00f3n de Cr\u00edticos de Arte de Madrid; Premio Nacional de Historia de Espa\u00f1a, con otros autores por dos libros colectivos, en 1998 y en el a\u00f1o 2000; premio Alfiler de Oro Mujer siglo XXI (2001); Premio FIES de Periodismo XII Edici\u00f3n (2001), Premio a la Excelencia de la Federaci\u00f3n Espa\u00f1ola de Mujeres Directivas, Ejecutivas, Profesionales y Empresarias (FEDEPE) (2005), Cruz de Plata de la Orden del M\u00e9rito de la Guardia Civil..- Asimismo, la Profesora Iglesias est\u00e1 en posesi\u00f3n de la Orden de las Palmas Acad\u00e9micas, condecoraci\u00f3n que le fue concedida por el gobierno franc\u00e9s en 1992 y de la Gran Cruz de Alfonso X el Sabio, con la que fue distinguida en 1995.- Premio \u201cJuli\u00e1n Mar\u00edas\u201d de Investigaci\u00f3n en Humanidades y Ciencias Sociales, instituido por primera vez por la Comunidad de Madrid en 2006.<\/p>
