7TH INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS ON RELATIONS BETWEEN LATIN AMERICA, THE CARIBBEAN AND EUROPE. DIGITALISATION, ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS: A CHALLENGE FOR GLOBAL GOVERNANCE

The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation, the University of Extremadura (UEx), and the Centre for Research on Ibero-American Studies at the Rey Juan Carlos University (CEIB-URJC) announce the 7TH INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS ON RELATIONS BETWEEN LATIN AMERICA, THE CARIBBEAN AND EUROPE. DIGITALISATION, ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS: A CHALLENGE FOR GLOBAL GOVERNANCE, which will take place in Guadalupe (Cáceres) on 1st April 2025.
Objectives of the Congress:
– To further deepen the interaction that has been taking place between the Americas and Europe over the past five centuries.
– To prioritise research that examines this relationship, which has shaped a historical reality in both regions, reflected in a shared cultural and material heritage in many cases. This edition will focus on economic issues, international conflicts, and the mutual perception of the two regions.
– To advance studies on migratory flows between the Americas, Extremadura, and Europe.
– To enhance dialogue between the two regions, particularly by highlighting the participation of young researchers in the fields of International Relations and the History of Ibero-America as a space of profound ties between the regions.
