The General Council of the Judiciary and Yuste Foundation Are Hosting a Course on Agricultural and Livestock Law
Fifty judges, magistrates, notaries, and registrars from different parts of Spain will gather on March 12 and 13 at the “2nd Ibero-American and European Agricultural and Livestock Law Course”, organised for the second consecutive year by the General Council of the Judiciary and the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation.

Yuste Foundation receives 39 doctoral theses from ten countries for the Research Prize to Ibero-American Doctoral Theses
The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation received thirty-nine doctoral theses competing for the 2024 Research Prize to Ibero-American Doctoral Theses, which aims to support the development of young researchers’ work, fostering reflection and the exchange of ideas on Ibero-American and European topics.

THE CALL OF THE 17TH EDITION OF THE CARLOS V EUROPEAN AWARD, WHICH EXTOLS THE VALUES OF UNITY, CONSENSUS AND DIALOGUE IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF EUROPE, IS NOW OPEN
The regional minister of Presidency, Interior and Social Dialogue, Abel Bautista, presented the call of the Carlos V European Award’s 17th edition along with the director of the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation, Juan Carlos Moreno, this Monday in Mérida. The award aims to reward individuals, organisations, projects or initiatives that have contributed to the general knowledge and enhancement of the cultural, social, scientific and historical values of Europe or to the process of construction and integration of the European Union.

The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation has opened the deadline for submission of nominations for the 2024 Research Prize to Ibero-American Doctoral Theses.
Yuste Foundation Regrets the Death of Jacques Delors, Laureate of the Carlos V European Award
The Board of Trustees and the staff of the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation regret the death of Jacques Delors, former President of the European Commission and the first person to receive the Carlos V European Award. Delors received the award on 6 June 1995, during a solemn ceremony that was presided over by King Juan Carlos I. The jury of the award, which was chaired by Marcelino Orejawho would also receive the award in 2017, recognised Jacques Delors “taking into account his open and tolerant spirit and his support of a European model of society based on the defence of democratic values and human rights”.
THE DEADLINE TO SUBMIT PAPERS FOR THE 5TH INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS ON RELATIONS BETWEEN LATIN AMERICA, THE CARIBBEAN AND EUROPE IS OPEN
The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation, along with the University of Extremadura and the Research Centre for Ibero-American Studies of the Rey Juan Carlos University (CEIB-URJC) opened the deadline for the submission of papers for the 5TH International Congress on Relations between Latin America, the Caribbean and Europe, to be held on 10 April at the Royal Monastery of Santa María de Guadalupe under the title “Economy and International Conflicts”.
YUSTE FOUNDATION’S BOARD OF TRUSTEES APPROVES THE ACTION PLAN FOR 2024 UNDER THE PRESIDENCY OF MARIA GUARDIOLA
The president of the Regional Government of Extremadura, María Guardiola, presided over the meeting held by the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation’s Board of Trustees today, where the Action Plan for 2024 was approved. The latter is a programme of activities that intends to further delve into the analysis and knowledge of the European reality, as well as to promote and consolidate the links between Extremadura, Europe and Ibero-America.
YUSTE FOUNDATION ORGANISES A SEMINAR IN ORDER TO ANALYSE THE CAUSES AND CONSEQUENCES OF ENDEMIC DISEASES AND EPIDEMICS IN IBERO-AMERICA
The Royal Monastery of Santa María de Guadalupe hosts the “1st Ibero-American Seminar on Endemics and Epidemics: Five Centuries of Contagion” today, which has been organised by the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation aiming to analyse and reflect on the causes and the impact suffered in Ibero-America due to the different diseases that have plagued it over the last centuries.
YUSTE FOUNDATION PARTICIPATES IN THE ANNUAL MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF RECTORS OF THE ASSOCIATION OF LATIN AMERICAN UNIVERSITIES (AULA)
The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation participated in the Annual Meeting of the Council of Rectors of the Association of Latin American Universities (AULA), which was held at the Polytechnic Institute of Lisbon. This meeting, which was chaired by the rector of the University of Extremadura, Pedro Fernández Salguero, was attended by the director of the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation, Juan Carlos Moreno, and has valued the role of Yuste Foundation in improving and favouring the space of relations between Europe and Ibero-America based on the promotion of education and culture.
YUSTE FOUNDATION REGRETS THE DEATH OF MARTTI AHTISAARI, MEMBER OF THE EUROPEAN AND IBERO-AMERICAN ACADEMY OF YUSTE AND NOBEL PEACE PRIZE
The Board of Trustees and staff of the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation regret the death of Martti Ahtisaari, former president of Finland and Nobel Peace Prize winner in 2008. Ahtisaari was a member of the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste. He occupied the Nicolaus Capernicus Chair during the ceremony of the Carlos V European Award to Simone Veil on 18 June 2008.
