The Director of the European Academy of Yuste Foundation and Director-General for External Action, Mr. Enrique Barrasa, took part today in a new session of the Entrepreneurial Seminars organized by Extremadura´s Young Entrepreneurs Association (AJE Extremadura).
Mr. Barrasa briefed participants in the conference held at the Monastery of Yuste on the government of Extremadura´s strategic external action objectives, which are aimed at “increasing international trade, attracting foreign investment, boosting tourism and defending the region´s interest in the European Union”. In this regard, Mr. Barrasa noted that the areas of particular interest to the region included Portugal, Europe, Israel, China, Latin America, the United States and the Arab countries.
According to Mr. Barrasa, the range of actions carried out by the Directorate General for External Action yields “positive results for the autonomous community” such as access to European funds, cooperation funds with Portugal, and strategic alliances with countries or specific areas, all of which “provides benefits for the business sector”.
Answering questions from participants, Mr. Barrasa noted that the European Academy of Yuste Foundation was a “very strong brand”, which explains why it falls under the Directorate General for External Action.
This participation falls within the framework of the Entrepreneurial Seminars organized by AJE Extremadura. These seminars seek to bring entrepreneurs closer to relevant personalities from Extremadura in an informal fashion, enabling entrepreneurs to relay their challenges, needs and suggestions with the aim of creating synergies and generating ideas or lines of action which would probably not emerge without this kind of engagement.
