Royal Monastery of Yuste, 1-3 July
The course will cover the political facet of Charles I and V of Germany throughout his reign. His idea of a unified Europe, a consequence of the different kingdoms which made up the Spanish crown, was a forerunner of today’s European Union. The course will address the origins of the empire of Charles V, the need to govern heterogeneous territories, religion as a constituent and unifying element for all the territories and the conflicts with countries which, like France and England, were opposed to this idea of empire. We will also add the issue of the discovery of America and the government and administration of all the overseas territories.
This summer course includes workshops for personal and professional training of participants, aiming at enlarging knowledge and capacities in: oratory and negotiation, excellence team building, and communication and social networks to the development of personal image.
The working language of the summer courses is Spanish. Interpretation will not be available.
