RESEARCH PRIZE TO IBERO-AMERICAN DOCTORAL THESES

Year 2026

The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation is announcing the 2025/26 Research Prize to Ibero-American Doctoral Theses, with the aim of supporting the development of research projects and encouraging reflection and the exchange of ideas among university students, researchers and professionals on Ibero-American and European topics.

Doctoral theses may be submitted provided they address relations between Spain, Portugal or Europe as a whole and Ibero-America, and vice versa, from a historical, cultural, social, scientific, economic or any other academic perspective. The winning thesis will be published in Yuste Foundation’s book series “Tesis Doctorales”, and the successful candidate will receive a financial award of €3,000.

The deadline for submission is 11 February 2026 at 23:59.

Applications, together with the required documentation and the full text of the doctoral thesis, must be sent to the following email address: tesisdoctorales@fundacionyuste.org

The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation launches the Research Prize to Ibero-American Doctoral Theses, with the aim of supporting and encouraging the development of research work in professional fields and studies on Ibero-American and European topics. This is reflected in the Regulatory Bases published in the Official Journal of Extremadura (DOE) of 10 December 2020.
