Peter Shaffer, a member of the European Academy of Yuste, passes away
The English playwright Peter Shaffer, a member of the European Academy of Yuste, passed away on Monday at the age of 90 after a short illness. Shaffer had been a member of the European Academy of Yuste since 1998 when he took over the Cervantes Chair during the ceremony of the Carlos V European Award, which was attended by the Prime Minister of Belgium, Wilfried Martens.
The European Academy of Yuste Foundation offer grants to university students to attend a course on Media and Human Rights in Geneva
The European Academy of Yuste Foundation offers ten mobility grants aimed at university students enrolled in the Degree in Public Administration and Management or Degree in Law, to participate in the international course ‘Media and Human Rights: Ambivalences of the fourth power in the digital age’ which will be held from 27 June to 1 July at the International Bureau of Education of UNESCO in Geneva (Switzerland).

The European Academy of Yuste Foundation offers a programme of 120 grants to cover enrolment fees, accommodation and living expenses for the international courses in the Campus Yuste 2016 programme. The grants are aimed at students who are conducting university studies in official degrees during the year 2015-2016 in any of the countries of the European Union.

Students in their fourth year of ESO at the Fuente de Roniel Secondary Education School, semifinal winners of the province of Badajoz, have been proclaimed winners of the Seventh regional conference on prevention of drug use among Extremadura teenagers “It is the youngsters’ turn to speak: from the regional to the European strategy”, held at the Navalmoral de la Mata Cultural Centre.
