Italian professor Sofia Corradi, Mamma Erasmus, winner of the Carlos V European Award, gave the opening speech at the doctoral seminar entitled ‘Peace and European Values as a potential model for integration and progress in a global world’ held at the Royal Monastery of Yuste from Monday 24 until Wednesday 26 July, as part of the Campus Yuste academic programme.

The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation presented the book El cacereño Juan Blázquez Mayoralgo. Contador y preceptista en Nueva España, by the professor of Latin Philology at the University of Extremadura, Manuel Mañas Núñez. This book is the fifth volume of the collection “Extremeños en Iberoamérica”; a collection which the Foundation dedicates to recover and enhance key figures in the history that Extremadura shares with America.

The seventh edition of the Entrepreneur Programme has been inaugurated today in Cáceres. This pioneering leadership and business management training programme for the Extremadur-an tobacco community is sponsored by Philip Morris Spain in collaboration with the University of Extremadura (UEx) and the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation, among other institutions.

The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation and the AEXCID Organise the Session “Integration Answers Facing the Migratory-Economic Crises”

The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation and the Agency for International Development Cooperation (AEXCID) have organised the session “Integration Answers Facing the Migratory-Economic Crises”, that will take place next Thursday, 30th of November, at the University Residence ‘Hernán Cortés’, in Badajoz. The activity, which is part of the Campus Yuste program, is free of charge and open to the general public. It will take place in the morning and those who attend will be given a certificate issued by the Foundation.
