The President of the Regional Government of Extremadura, José Antonio Monago, chaired the meeting of the Board of Trustees of the European Academy of Yuste Foundation held in Mérida. The Board agreed to organize the 2014 Charles V European Award. It will be the 10th edition of the award and the presentation ceremony will take place 20 years after the first one took place.
In the coming days the terms and conditions of the Call for Candidates for the 2014 Charles V European Award will be published.
At the meeting held today, which was also attended by the Regional Minister for Education and Culture, Trinidad Nogales and the Regional Minister for Finance and Public Administration, Clemente Checa, the Board approved 2013 annual accounts, closed with a surplus for the second consecutive year.
In addition, there was a presentation on the Foundation’s new website, to be launched on 1st October. It will include many new features and an updated design. It will serve as a communication tool for the Foundation to diffuse information about their activities in the framework of Yuste Campus and about members of the Academy and recipients of the Charles V European Award as well as practical information on publications.
