His Majesty the King has accepted the Presidency of Honour of the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation, an entity that originated from the merger between the European Academy of Yuste Foundation and the Extremaduran Centre for Studies and Cooperation with Ibero-America in 2017 and which now serves as a link between Europe and Ibero-America from Extremadura.

The monarch has accepted the request made to him by the President of the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation’s Board of Trustees and President of the regional Government of Extremadura, Guillermo Fernández Vara, via an official notice dated 15 February 2018 at the Zarzuela Palace.

The Presidency of Honour of His Majesty the King implies not only a momentum for the Foundation and the achievement of its goals, but a backing of the Carlos V European Award, as its solemn ceremony at the Royal Monastery of Yuste always counts with the support of the Crown and is presided over by a member of the Royal Family in all its editions.
