WEBINAR “WORLD HERITAGE SITE. EXCEPTIONAL CULTURAL, HISTORICAL AND ARCHITECTURAL VALUES OF THE ROYAL MONASTERY OF SANTA MARIA DE GUADALUPE”

The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation will organise the webinar “World Heritage Site. Exceptional Cultural, Historical and Architectural Values of the Royal Monastery of Santa María de Guadalupe” next Wednesday, 16 December, at 17:30 pm in which Federico Mayor Zaragoza, Director-General of UNESCO 1987-1999 and member of the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste occupying the Chair Leonardo da Vinci since 2008, as well as Felipe Sánchez Barba, Mayor of the City Council of Guadalupe and Pilar Blanco-Morales Limones, Vice President and Regional Minister of Finance and Public Administration of the Regional Government of Extremadura, will participate.

At a time when the 25th anniversary of the declaration of the Royal Monastery of Santa María de Guadalupe as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and the Holy Year of Guadalupe 2021 are being commemorated, Yuste Foundation wishes to support the dissemination of this heritage due to its uniqueness that in the words of Federico Mayor Zaragoza “belongs to us all and unites us” with this webinar.

CYCLE OF MEETINGS “GUADALUPE AS A DESTINY”

The webinar “World Heritage Site. Exceptional Cultural, Historical and Architectural Values of the Royal Monastery of Santa María de Guadalupe” is part of the cycle of meetings “Guadalupe as a Destiny” which Yuste Foundation wishes to hold a series of sessions of public interest with, promoting dialogue on issues such as governance, science, history and culture.

This series of webinars is part of the following events of exceptional public interest in Guadalupe: the «25th Anniversary of the Declaration of the Royal Monastery of Santa María de Guadalupe as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO » and the «Holy Year of Guadalupe 2021»

The webinar is organised by the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation in collaboration with the City Council of Guadalupe.
