4th INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS “RELATIONS BETWEEN LATIN AMERICA, THE CARIBBEAN AND EUROPE: IMAGES AND VIEWS ON BOTH SHORES”

Cartagena de Indias (Colombia) on 13 and 14 April 2023.

The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation (Spain), the University of Cartagena de Indas (Colombia) and the Research Centre of Ibero-American Studies from the Rey Juan Carlos University (Spain) launch the 4th International Congress on “Relations between Latin America, the Caribbean and Europe: Images and Views on Both Shores”, which will take place in Cartagena de Indias on 13 and 14 April 2023.

The objectives of this Congress are:

  • To prioritise the research that studies this relationship that has been shaping a historical reality in both regions and is noted in a common cultural and material heritage. The intention is to address aspects related to common perceptions, democracy, diplomatic relations, security and cultural aspects of the relationship between the two regions.
  • To continue to advance studies on migration flows between Ibero-America and Europe.
  • To increase the debate by highlighting, above all, the participation of young researchers in the fields of International Relations and the History of Ibero-America as a space to deepen and strengthen relations between the two regions.
