3rd INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS ON RELATIONS BETWEEN LATIN AMERICA, THE CARIBBEAN AND EUROPE: “IMAGES AND VIEWS ON BOTH SHORES”
Guadalupe (Cáceres) on 21, 22 and 23 March 2023.
The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation, the University of Extremadura (UEx) and the Research Centre for Studies on Ibero-America of the Rey Juan Carlos University (CEIB-URJC) intend to convene the 3rd International Congress on Relations between Latin America, the Caribbean and Europe: “Images and Views on Both Shores”, which will take place in Guadalupe (Cáceres) on 21, 22 and 23 March 2023.
The objectives of this Congress are the following:
- To continue to delve into the interaction that has been taking place over five centuries between America and Europe.
- To prioritise the research that studies this relationship, which has been shaping a historical reality in both spaces, confirmed in a cultural and material heritage which is in many cases common. And to focus, on this occasion, on the common perceptions, democracy, diplomatic relations, security and cultural aspects of the relationship between the two regions.
- To keep making progress regarding studies on migratory flows between America, Extremadura and Europe.
- To increase the debate between the two regions by highlighting, above all, the participation of young researchers in the fields of International Relations and the History of Ibero-America as a space of deep relations between both regions.
