The Director-General for External Action and Director of the European Academy of Yuste Foundation Enrique Barrasa attended the closing session of the 4th edition of the Entrepreneurship Program for Tobacco Growers and the launch of the Program´s 5th edition in Caceres on 26 November. The event, co-organized by the University of Extremadura and Phillip Morris Spain, is supported by the European Academy of Yuste Foundation, which has cooperated with the Entrepreneurship Program since the 2nd edition. Over 50 students received entrepreneurship training in Yuste.

The Director General for External Action and Director of the European Academy of Yuste Foundation, Enrique Barrasa, has opened the 6th Yuste International Conference on the Transition to Democracy in Spain, directed by Mario P. Diaz Barrado, Professor of History at the University of Extremadura. The inauguration was also attended by the secretary of studies for the conference, the Tenured Lecturer Juan Manuel Rodríguez Barrigón.

The Director General for External Action and Director of the European Academy of Yuste Foundation, Enrique Barrasa Sánchez, and the Professor of Contemporary History at the University of Extremadura, Enrique Moradiellos García, make public announcement of the decision of the jury for the European Research and Mobility Grants for European Award “Charles V European Award-José Manuel Durão Barroso”. Ten researchers have been awarded the grant.

The European Academy of Yuste Foundation has announced the 10th edition of the “Charles V European Award”, according to the Official Journal of Extremadura published today. Nominations can be submitted from tomorrow until December 22nd.

The President of the Regional Government of Extremadura, José Antonio Monago, chaired the meeting of the Board of Trustees of the European Academy of Yuste Foundation held in Mérida. The Board agreed to organize the 2014 Charles V European Award. It will be the 10th edition of the award and the presentation ceremony will take place 20 years after the first one took place.
