The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation along with the European Routes of Emperor Charles V, the University of Extremadura and the Plan de Fomento de la Lectura de Extremadura have published the guides Carlos V y La Vera. Proyecto didáctico para aprender descubriendo and Wandering in La Vera: Meditations of An Emperor. Both will be presented next Friday, 8 April at 12:30 pm at Yuste Foundation’s headquarters, which are located in the Royal Monastery of Yuste. The presentation will count with the participation of the mayor of Cuacos de Yuste and treasurer of the Network of the Routes of Emperor Charles V, José María Hernández García; the director-manager of the Network of the Routes of Emperor Charlez V, Quintín Correas Domingo, and two of the authors of the guides and professors of the University of Extremadura, Ramón Pérez Parejo, Ignacio Chato and with the illustrator, Celia Conejero.
The objective of these editions is to spread the cultural and natural heritage of the region of La Vera among the youth. They focus especially on the historical experience that the presence of Emperor Charles V entailed during the last years of his life in Jarandilla and Yuste.
