The Challenge of Working Together: EU-Latin America and the Caribbean Relations in the Face of Major Global Challenges
Monastery of Yuste (Cáceres), from 20 to 22 July 2022.
A course organised along with EU-LAC Foundation, which counts with the collaboration of the Ibero-American General Secretariat (SEGIB) and Euroamérica Foundation. The course intends to continue the Foundation’s work line on education for development by raising specific subjects within the framework of the European Union-Latin America and the Caribbean relations and the 2030 Agenda.
The aim of this course is to address the challenges that are globally faced in the EU-Latin America and the Caribbean relations, contributing – through education, reflection, debate, and knowledge transfer – to a greater study and an improvement regarding the implementation of strategies that enable the construction of pacific, solidarity and egalitarian societies, thus contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
SDG 16 states that without peace, stability, human rights and effective governance based on respect for democracy and the rule of law, the sustainable development cannot be achieved. Other SDGs will also be addressed, such as 17, aimed at fostering partnerships to achieve the remaining goals, and in particular those SDGs linked to the current situation of uncertainty in the world, particularly Europe and Latin America.
