The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation together with the Asocición de Mujeres Laboralistas de Andalucía and the Research Network of the Ministry of Science and Innovation “La protección social y la coordinación de sistemas de Seguridad Social en la Unión Europea e Iberoamérica: los desafíos del Brexit y el Pilar Europeo de los Derechos Sociales”, have organised the conference entitled “Guadalupe Legal Sessions: Coordination of Social Security Systems. A Legal Bridge between the European Union and Ibero-America”, which will be held on 19 and 20 September at the Royal Monastery of Santa Maria de Guadalupe.

The music group Camara Antiqva and the Coro de Cámara de Madrid as well as the group La Danserye will be performing in the church of the Monastery of San Jerónimo de Yuste on 17 and 24 September, respectively. These concerts are included within the Emperor’s Cycle of Concerts, which is organised by the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation together with National Heritage. Both concerts will start at 13:00 pm and have free admission until full capacity is reached.

The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation joined the commemoration of the centenary of the birth of the Portuguese Nobel Prize and member of the Academy of Yuste, José Saramago; the fifth centenary of the death of the Spanish humanist, Elio Antonio de Nebrija, and the celebration of the European Year of Youth with the organisation of three courses included in the training programme Campus Yuste, which are integrated in the 33rd edition of the University of Extremadura’s International Summer-Autumn Courses.

The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation was awarded the “Capitán de Galeones” Award by Puerta de América Foundation in Sanlúcar de Barrameda.

The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation regrets the death of the last president of the Soviet Union, Mikhail Gorbachev, father of perestroika and a figure who influenced the history of Europe and the world, and sends its condolences to his relatives and loved ones.

The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation inaugurated the course “Elio Antonio de Nebrija: From Extremadura to America” in Guadalupe today. The course is framed within the commemoration of the 5th centenary of his death, which is considered an event of exceptional public interest.
