The European Academy of Yuste Foundation and the Provincial Council of Caceres signed a cooperation agreement whereby the institution will contribute with 40,000 Euros to support the activities of the Foundation and will receive key information on European issues of interest for the municipalities.

The International Symposium Light at the Service of Mankind was part of the symposiums annually held by the European Academy of Sciences, Arts and Letters. After the latest editions in Dublin (2012) and Paris (2013), this time the event took place in the city of Cáceres, declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
