Yuste dialogues: debating religion, secular society and violence
Salamanca Pontifical University (UPSA) Faculties of Theology, Canon Law and Philosophy have opened the ‘III Yuste dialogues’ in collaboration with European Academy of Yuste Foundation, entitled ‘Religion, secular society and violence’. The university’s Dean, Mirian de las Mercedes Cortés Diéguez; María José Muriel Santurino, the Foundation’s Coordinator; and P. Pablo Stepkowski, Prior of the Royal Monastery of Yuste all took part in the debate.
Close to 500 undergraduates apply for grants for courses at Campus Yuste

The European Academy of Yuste Foundation celebrates its 25th anniversary
The European Academy of Yuste Foundation celebrates its 25th anniversary with a concert from choir Amadeus, directed by Alonso Gómez Gallego. The concert is on Saturday, 8 April, at 12.00, at the Royal Monastery of Yuste church. The concert marks the opening of a series entitled ‘The Emperor’s Concerts’ organised in collaboration with Patrimonio Nacional (National Heritage).

The European Academy of Yuste Foundation today opened its Campus Yuste programme with the ‘8th Yuste Encounters on Transition’, under the title ‘The lengthy process of European integration (1982-1996)’. It is organising the event for another year together with the University of Extremadura and King Juan Carlos University.

Rosa Balas Torres, President of the European Academy of Yuste Foundation’s Executive Committee and Chief Executive of External Action for the Regional Government of Extremadura, and Juan Carlos Moreno Piñero, Director of the European Academy of Yuste Foundation, today announced the jury’s decision to award the eleventh edition of the Carlos V European Award to Spanish politician Marcelino Oreja Aguirre.
